Is there somewhere (Amusement park, convention center, etc.) where you can work or work an event, and the money you earn is donated to your org, or, in this case, your chapter?
Also, when I was in City Year (Americorps), we worked at Kings Island (theme park) on Saturdays and Sundays for about 4 or 5 weeks. We alternated who went when, you know. The money we would have earned from hourly wages went to fund our travel to a national convention.
So that's a couple. The key is finding places that need extra hands and are willing to pay for them. You may have to pitch the idea to them. If you do have to pitch the idea, do it in a way that they are paying you a bulk fee, not by the hours that you work. That's better, you come out with more loot.
Another good idea is to have a Spaghetti Dinner. Cheap to make and pull off, and you can charge people $7-10 a plate. Cheap food, fun, good conversation. Who can turn that down?
Then there's always the classic car wash and bake sale. Oh, and you can auction yourselves off as servants for a day. You'd be SURPRISED how much money women will pay to have you at their beck and call for an entire day. We did this at my high school ('member Carla??), and a couple fights broke out, lol. Girls were getting heated that other chicks were trying to "buy" their boyfriends. It was funny, but I digress. That's a good way to raise money though.
If I think of more, I'll return!

Hope this helps!
