Not a good day...
First, I heard that one girl had to depledge because of commuting distance. Sad, but ok, because she's moving here in the summer and put her bid "on hold".
Then today my little called me (without knowing she's my little) and told me that she is having to depledge because her grades are dropping and she needs the time for school. Can't fault her reasons - she's here for an education, not Phi Chi, but it still sucks.

I'm sorry to hear that! But I can relate. We're getting ready to pledge soon to be the founding members of the beta chapter of a sorority. So far, we've lost 2 girls...one of which is my roommate. It's hard because you want those girls to be in it, but then you also have to be understanding...
You're not alone...but i'm always worried about losing more girls before we complete the pledge process.

Any suggestions?

MTSUGURL,
So sorry to hear that! These things happen, though...even to the best of us. Sucks that they happen on the same day, though.
Keep your head up and don't take it too personally. From what you said, it sounds like both girls are making the right decisions for them. There's always the opportunity for them to pledge again in the fall.
Onward and upward!!!

I'm sorry. I know that sucks...I was sad every time one of my sisters had to drop because of grades/transfer/etc.

Thanks y'all! I needed the pick me up today.
One of the sisters that already has a little gave me hers so I would have someone to spoil since I don't have much active time left (I graduate in December.)
We've gone from 8 pledges to 4, but the ones we have left are amazing! It's still going to be a fabulous semester.

MTSUGURL,
It always sucks when a girl drops no matter what her reasons are. Last semester our gamma class started out with 6 girls but , due to certain circumstances beyond our control we lost 3 and only crossed over 3. Everytime that we lost a girl it hurt big time, but the ladies that did make it through (including my little) are sooooooooooo very awesome and are turning out to be awesome sisters. One of the girls that we lost last semester we stayed in constant contact with her and she is now a member of our delta class and is halfway done with our PA process. So don't despair hopefully those two girls will come back next semester and re-rush.
