Some issues I'm wondering about

Some issues I'm wondering about

1. Osama Bin Laden and other terrorists. Why is there never any talk of OBL anymore, or even of the effort to root out terrorism? When's the last time the U.S. destroyed a terrorist cell?

2. Regime change. Haven't hear a word about this for ages, did Bush change his mind, or just couldn't take the heat over the public outcry when he first mentioned it?

3. Dick Cheney. He's like, the VP of the U.S., or something, isn't he? Where is he? Every day, I see Bush, Powell, and even Rumsfeld, but never Cheney. Is he dead?

4. O.J. Simpson. Did he ever find the "REAL" killers?

I really thought this for about 8 months after 9/11. I've seen him on the news a couple of times since then, but maybe they got a stand-in like in that movie Dave with Kevin Kline.

It actually doesn't bother me at all that we aren't seeing much of Dick Cheney. I'd rather have a VP be worrying about getting things done than getting in his required 10 TV appearances per month

Perhaps you should look at the papers a bit more. Cells are being disrupted rapidly. I read about this at the minimum of once a week.

2. Regime change. Haven't hear a word about this for ages, did Bush change his mind, or just couldn't take the heat over the public outcry when he first mentioned it?

I've heard a lot about this since hte beginning and even now. This isn't just "Bush's" decision by the way. The goal is for neutralizing offensive threats as well as regime change.

3. Dick Cheney. He's like, the VP of the U.S., or something, isn't he? Where is he? Every day, I see Bush, Powell, and even Rumsfeld, but never Cheney. Is he dead?

The VP's role is not to be in the media. The reason why you might think so is that for a while now many Vice-Presidents have been in the media frequently because they have plans to run for president after their term. Cheney wants to be VP and nothing more. On top of that he has a heart condition which ensures he won't run. Cheney is considered the second most powerful man without a doubt and does his work behind the scenes.

4. O.J. Simpson. Did he ever find the "REAL" killers?

Yeah Kalo or whatever his name was. Real bad sunamabitch.

A lot of stuff is happening behind the shadow of 'special operations'. Some major a**-kickin's going on but it's happening well out of the glare of the media spotlight.

That cockroach Bin Laden can run, but he can't hide for long. He'll eventually make a mistake, and once we find him, we're sending him a 'daisy cutter' (BLU-82) bomb in our next care package.

Betcha when the shooting starts in Gulf War II, we ain't stopping until 'regime change' takes place in Baghdad.

Out of sight, out of mind. Other than fulfilling his duties as President of the Senate (you might catch him in the Senate chamber on CSPAN-2) he's kept well out of media scrutiny, but well briefed on what's going on.

Should the sh*t hit the fan they'll probably get him stashed away in some secret bunker in the Federal Relocation Arc outside of Washington. Knowing the media penchant for wild-a**speculation, either probably Mount Weather in Virginia or Raven Rock Mountain in Pennsylvania. Or some other bunker whose knowledge is so highly classified above TOP SECRET RIDICULOUS no one knows where it is unless they have 'the need to know'. Or have to ask the local county sheriff where the turnoff is!

Only his conscience can tell him otherwise... and he's gonna hafta live with that for the rest of his life.

Anyone ever see the show Mystery science theater? The show is always full of one liners and unexpected dropins that are funny but theres always one joke that none of the characters find funny.

Back onto the topic at hand......... like Rudey said read the papers once in awhile. They actually do contain news from time to time.

5. When will a good bye tour will ever be a real good bye tour. Every good bye tour end up being a 2 years tour and then all of the sudden it was a reunion tour.

Well, at least you tried

But enough about your attempt at humor. There's nothing wrong with wanting to add a little levity and I apologize if I embarassed you. Back to the topic at hand...

AlphaSigOU, great post! You really know your $hit!
