National Bi-ad's?

Has anyone ever heard of a National Bi-ad? Okay so sigma Chi's do Derby days, and they do it nationally. But thats a philanthropy. What about a national bi-ad? Two fraternities together throwing a party on the same night all over the country. I had this idea but have never heard of it. We are putting together a huge party with another fraternity here on campus in February, and want to make it a yearly event. No name as of yet. A Studio 54 theme maybe. 2 16 person hot tubs, 40 ft video screen for live footage from the party as well as music videos, VIP room, Foam party, and yet dry. Come on now, it would never work being wet. The possibility of making this being nationally has really intrigued me. Let me know if you've heard of anything like this. Thanks.

I think we passed a resolution at our last Grand Chapter to start a national philanthropy.

Okay I understand abou the national philanthropy, but a national party? or biad between the same two org's?

I think that last year ChiO, Theta, and maybe Gamma Phi had some sort of national party or so they claimed. I know Chi O's here did it (i just don't remember the other 2), so maybe one of those ChiO ladies could explain or elaborate...

I don't remember exactly which 3 houses it was, but they said the theme was for chapters on the east coast to have a "New York, New York" theme, in the Center of the country it was Hicks and chicks, and for the west coast it was something like a beach party...

Have no idea about how to get it started nationally but sounds like fun...

how would it work if both chapters were not present on campus?

Here ya go...

A party between the same two fraternities. Like say Theta Xi and Kappa Sigs or Sigma Chi and lambdas. Understand? If both were not present they couldn't do it, and thus would either fill the other spot with someone else or solo it. The idea came up when last year the IFC council here were emphasizing the idea of doing parties and philanthropies and I think even brotherhoods with other fraternities. So this seemed even better.
