Part time students

Sorry, apparently my post didn't appear like it was supposed to......i was wondering since i'm part time at the moment if there was any national policy on activity in ASA like what i can and can not do within the sorority. At the end of the semester i will be full time. Is this something that individual chapters handle differently?

Leigh Ann,

I know that you cannot vote or hold an office. As far as things like mixers, formals, ritual, I think it is up to the discretion of the chapter, but I wouldn't see why you couldn't participate. Ritual and educational activities particularly I see no prob with - mixers & formal might be a different story due to $$$. Are you paying partial or full dues?

paying full dues.......i don't hold an office and like i said i'll have 12 hours in like march so..... its just for the rest of january and february that i am part time

Well then, the only thing is that you can't vote for 6 weeks - that shouldn't kill you.

I didn't realize your semester didn't start till March!

my semester already started i'm just taking a "B term" class like they have classes that only go for half a semester.
