trying to get a convo started:men views on women.
First of all. Howdy Professor...I haven't spoken to you in a minute.
Well this is the deal...(I posted this on another board but I didn't get that much feedback.)
I was wondering what do you guys feel about women's attire when they going out. My girl and I got in an argument over this, because I said she dresses like a "dyke:" tim boots, jeans and a t-shirt. That's her regular attire whether we're going to a club, that's dress to impress, or if she's going out on a date. And for me she says I over do it. Like I'll wear a nice tank top or backless shirt with some boots(calf or to the knee), tight fitting jeans or a skirt.
She says the way I dress guys take me as high maintenance. I say guys think she's a dyke. She doesn't wear make-up or anything like that. And I only wear make-up for when we're going out.
I'm not saying everybody has to wear make-up or tight jeans.
And her outfits aren't of low quality either. I mean here tims cost more than my tommy boots so it's not about money. It's just that I tried to give her subtle hints on what to wear and she says I'm trying to change her.
Just wondering what ya'll think. Is it wrong of a friend to suggest she "dress more feminine."
Maybe it's because she dates thugs...and I date professionals.
Basically, my question is this does clothes matter? And how would you suggest to your friend that it does matter(I mean for when you going out or on a date or something.) And do you think because of what you wear attracts different people.
