sad...
i'm in tbs and sai and my tbs sisters are not being very understanding about how excited i am to be in sai (i just got in before thanksgiving) and since i put parts of sai songs in my aim profile, the president told me if i love sai so much, i should quit tbs, and now i'm thinking about it...i love both organizations but i like the people in my sai chapter much more than i like most of the people in tbs....okay just wanted to vent, don't feel that you need to reply =0)
My sisters speak only words that bless, give comfort and some happiness

I am understanding of your being in two orgs, since I have been in two for a long time, and now three. I do also understand where Emily is coming from in a way because you seem to have let TBS slide - although I do understand that SAI is new... You could atleast mention TBS because you should be proud of all your orgs, cos if you were not - why did you join? Ya know where Im comin from?

so i may have let tbs slide, but we havent done anything in tbs, no service nothing, except union and unigorms...sai did stuff, for goodness sakes, i was pledging (sorry i know we don't call it that, but my class always did even though no one else did) and i wasn't skipping sai stuff to do nothing with tbs, and the only things i missed for tbs were for sai rituals...and i can't do anything for tbs when no one will get me the things i need to do...but oh well i have a month to write a letter of conditionality and decide if i should turn it in.

i'm an AOII and i was first initiated as an SAI in 2000.... if your sisters love you, they should respect you that you enjoy both organizations and not one is better than the other they are both loved equally. i know it's hard to be in both. since i switched schools, we don't have anSAI chapter here at Ga State. just be enthusiastic about bothso noones feelings will be hurt. cuz i know if you give up one, they are going to feel like you didn't care...some may understand but just don't let anyone tell or make you feel you have to choose. To touch more on what Ozzie said, I was also in two organizations in college, KD and SAI. I joined KD first, but when I did join SAI there were two other girls from KD in SAI too. There were comments made by some of the sisters to us that one day the SAI chapter was going to become all KD, etc. We were really hurt and went to the president and she basically told us that we belonged there and not to listen to them. Well, to make a long story short, most of the girls making those comments dropped out of SAI anyways and the others turned over a new leaf and excepted us for who we were.
Now that I graduated I get together with all the SAI girls from my chapter in my area every month, we just had our Christmas party yesterday. It just goes to show you that some people in this world don't except you for who you really are, but if you believe in yourself and have the support of your sisters, you will be just fine.

I accepted a bid from SAI about a month ago, but will also be going through formal recruitment for the social sororities at my school in a few weeks. I'm not sure if I will be joining a social sorority or not, but I definately want to at least go through recruitment to see if any are right for me. The thing I'm most worried about it that I will be going through two pledge/new member periods at the same time if I join another sorority in addition to SAI. In fact, my pledging ceremony for SAI comes right in the middle of formal recruitment!! But I guess I'll just see how it goes.

Question about two GLO's
Most of us in my chapter have no problem with girls in Social sororites. I almost joined one myself along with one of my best friends, but we didn't have the time with the stuff we are doing as Performance majors. We have girsl from 4 social sororities right now. Sometime it seems as if their social sorority is more important, but then I remember that they are in two organizations, and when it comes down to it, their best friends are in SAI (I atleast speak for my other best friend who is in two sororities).
Are there any rules/etiquite (sp?) for wearing the lavalier of social sororites at SAI events, with our badge etc?
