We're in the process of having people sign up for rush...which, for the sororities starts next week, for the fraternities it started last night. Anyway, today we had a Greek Spirit day where we all got together for about an hour and a half (NPC, NIC, NPHC) and just mingled amongst ourselves. The coolest thing about it though, was that faculty and staff who were Greek came out in their letters and pins as well. There were signs up in the Student Center that said "Who's Greek at CNU" and listed the faculty and staff and the organizations they were in. It was awesome.
I found out that my boss was president LXA for two years in the late 60's/early 70's, the president of our university is also LXA, one of the women I work with is Tri-Delt, a residence hall director is a Sig Kap, one of my professors is AKA, the woman in charge of university relations is a Zeta, the head of the sports and convocation center is a Sig Ep...it was really cool to learn about their organizations and what things were like when they were in school.
My boss made the comment that, with expansion taking place right now on our campus, that the Greeks need to know that admin, faculty and staff are behind us.
Sorry, just had to share it with everyone.
