Talking I bought a car today !!!!!!!!!

I bought my first car today.

A red 1997 Nissan 200SX SE, spoiler, sunroof, very cute!

I'm also proud because I paid for every penny of it- no help from the parents, and no loans.

Just wanted to share my excitement!

Congrats on the new car!

I know how you feel, I bought my truck in May 2001, my parents have never paid a cent for it. I also bought it without ever seeing it, I picked out the color online and called a dealership back home (I did this during finals week *lol*) I sent my parents to go sign for it and the rest is history

Congrats! It's such a great feeling to own something that you know is 100% your sweat, blood and tears. After I graduated last year, I bought a new car for myself. (A Mitsubishi Eclipse) It really annoys me when people see my car and say "Man, your parents must love you?" or "That's such a great graduation present for your parents to give you." Most people find it so hard to believe that it's MY CAR, paid for with MY MONEY and taken car of fully by ME! It's like they can't possibly believe that I could make enough money to afford it or something.

Yay! Congratulations! Your car sounds very cute! Getting a new car is so much fun! I bought my car about two years ago and it feels like yesterday. In another year, though, I will be buying another because it's time to get what I really want.

Congratulations!

Nice car also do you mind if ask what your insruance is on that one? I looked into buying one once and it was 4,000 a year for full coverage . . . so I was stuck buying a used car that I could carry only liability on because the insurance would have been more then the car in 2.5 years.

But I live in NJ the highest insurance state in the union and I am a male which means I must be suicidal!

PM me if you don't want to post it

4k a year?

Damn, 4000 a year for full coverage? That's insane. I'm paying for my own car which I bought last year, and I agree with everyone else that paying for it on your own is a great feeling.
