At Murray State we have a really big fall orientation class for Ag students. There are so many new freshman in the agriculture deptartment, that we have upperclassman student leaders to head up groups of about 11-15 people. A couple of our actives are group leaders, so they talked to some of the freshman girls and it turns out that some of the girls that were interested in being in a sorority got interested in being in ours. At our informational meeting we had more than 25 girls interested. The girls who didn't have the G.P.A. to get in were encouraged to still rush and I think they all have incentive to work harder on grades for next year's rush. We were all a little taken aback by the number of girls interested, and we feel proud that so many people look at our group and want to be a part of it. I think that Murray State, a school that has an emphasis on agriculture, has also helped our numbers.
