Top Ten Unhappily Named Americans of 1880
Granted, I am an admitted genealogical geek; therefore, I receive some pretty strange articles & emails. But I thought y'all would enjoy this list, culled by the editors of The Gealogue:
Top Ten Unhappily Named Americans of 1880
10. Lousy Price of Hendersonville, North Carolina.
9. Pig Ballad of Bossier, Louisiana.
8. Fannie Cheeks of Carolina Mills, North Carolina.
7. Plenty Payne of Harrison, Arkansas.
6. Pussy Slaughter of Hampton, Virginia.
5. Large Hunsucker of Morehouse County, Louisiana.
4. Girly Craps of Gilbert Hollow, South Carolina.
3. Gay Wimp of Dallas, Illinois.

If I remember correctly, the original ones I listed were from Colorado, in 1880. I imagine #1 was working on the railroad?
In all honesty, I went to school with a Pete Moss, and my mother went to school with a Rose Bush!
