Unhappy Its Back

Okay so we over did it!!! We binged on all those sinful foods, we opened gifts, maxed out credit cards and bank accounts giving gifts (although, I did pretty well this year I must say). But its the day after Christmas..and we still feel every pound of what we ate yesterday...in addition to those pounds we still feel from Thanksgiving, and imagine that bulge growing by just the mere thought of extra pounds being added at the traditional New Years celebration and the chocolate that gets added on Valentines Day.

Whats a girl to do? Some recommend excercise but I still struggle with that no pain no gain cliche. Who has helpful tips that will benefit us all????

HolyGhost7,

Girl, I just got back into town from enjoying my Christmas break and now I'm faced with a lot of things but the following: I didn't overeat, max out my credit cards, I didn't even take a sip of the spirits during the Christmas holiday and I know that I won't during, god willing, this up and coming New Years.

My advice to those folks that had a little too much fun at the table, go for a very long walk and dring lots of H20 starting now to help you get back on track.

My final advice about the over shopping - cut up the credit cards and stay your butt out of the stores!

Talking my 22 cents

i must admit that i, too, struggle with the whole no pain, no gain cliche... but i realize that exercise is essential to a self maintainence program-- it is wonderful stress relief and it does wonders for my self perception--when i think my body looks better, i tend to feel better about myself... i tend to exercise for about 7 months out of the year and then i fall off the wagon, but this year, i am going to stick to it fa sho! (community oriented coupled with personality, originality, scholarship, AND SEXY AS I WANNA BE-- a SIGMA in every sense of the word, sorors!) my advice is to get out and RUN. i know everyone hates it and says, "i can't run", but once you build your body up to the task, you actually get a high from knowing that you are so fit that you can run like the marines! i hate it, too, but it is the quickest way i know to knock the pounds off quickly AND tone up major muscle groups that we sisters have problems with. i am pRHOud to say that after re-starting my running program two days ago, my whole body aches like, well, you know... BUT that's a good thing.

soRHOR serious sigma-- hats off to you for sticking to your workout schedule and exercising discipline this holiday season! you go, soror!

now, i hate debt as much as the next poodle, but the fall season is when all the pretty gold(not yellow or buttercup hues, but true antique gold hues) and RHOyal blue suits are up for grabs... try finding a RHOyal blue suit in april--you'll be hard pressed! the LORD has allowed the BLUE and GOLD to be on the shelves especially for us, and i'ma take a little advantage of it! then i will let my credit card RIP.

best of luck to everyone on their "damage control" endeavors as we all recover from the holidays!
