Christmas gift letters-HELP!
Hey,
I just have a question. I have just started to date this guy whose a Sigma Pi alum. Not very long. I cant think of anything to get him for Christmas and he hasnt given any suggestions..except one day we were talking and I said that I only had only 2 sets of letters ( i know pathetic!! lol) and he said because he has had so many little's that he has no letters except one rush shirt left and that he would like more. SO i am wondering would it be an okay gift to get him a sweatshirt with Sigma Pi letters with his class and date he got in? Its the only thing i really know that he needs..but i dont know if thats a good idea: would other guys like this if their new girlfriend got them letters? is it too corny or stupid? Or appropriate?
Help!
thanks,

It sounds like a good idea to me. Because you haven't been dating for a long time, you don't want to freak him out by getting him anything too serious, expensive or sentimental. Letters would be perfect, and by picking out colors and a design that you think he would like, it would show that you're thoughtful as well.
Have fun, and I hope he likes the sweatshirt if you end up getting one!

It's an interesting idea, and I think it would be a good gift. But, since you probably don't know this guy's tastes very well, I suggest instead that you give him a gift certificate to a greek store in the amount that a good-quality letter sweatshirt would cost, and let him pick colors and patterns. Just a thought.

I have to agree with Optimist Prime, and say Yes with getting the letters.

I think getting him letters is definitely a great idea...if you're worried about the colors, just get him something in their colors (purple and gold, I believe) or in colors you know he likes.

I think it's a good idea. It shows that you've put some thought and effort into your gift.
