Wonderful grades!

I was just so excited when I found out about this, I had to share i with other sisters! Grades for Spring Semester were just released for all the chapters, and we came out with a 3.1 for Alpha Gamma. We came in 4th out of 15 Chapters on our campus, hooray for us! It's a great improvement and I know we'll just go up from here!

I just want to say good job and congratualtions! We've been struggling w grades for a few semesters now and just can't seem to get it together. Our average I *believe* is still higher than the all women's GPA, but it's still just about at the bottom of the All sorority. If you have any suggestions that worked for you guys, feel free to share please!!

Like I said before, it was a great improvement from even our fall semeter grades. We have a new VPS and she has obviously done wonders. She has a new program with study cards based on the previous semester GPA, weekly study and quiet hours and weekly meetings with deficient members. We have little incentives like the Skippy Jar. If you go to all your classes you get to put your name in the jar and it gets drawn every week at Chapter for a prize. We also have a good work award jar. This is used to nominate a sister when you see her doing great academically, like getting an A on an exam she studied hard for, or helping another sister in a difficult class. This is also drawn for a weekly prize. If you have any more questions about our program, I can help you get in touch with our VPS and mabe she can give you some pointers.

I think that most of all, we really wanted this. Our House has grown by leaps and bounds in the past couple of years and this is just one more thing that we were focusing on. Now in addition to our growing membership, we have outstanding grades as well.

I also wanted to say that I just found out that our grades were above the all Sorority average as well, which was 3.04. The all campus and all women's grades haven't come out yet, but I'm sure we will be above those too!

I know how it is to be part of a struggling chapter (academically speaking), becuase my chapter has been that way as long as I've known of it....It kinda sucks, but hey...Kudo's to you for doing such a fabulous job!!!!!!!
