Stevie Wonder's BET Walk of Fame.

Did anyone see The Bet's Walk of Fame last night honoring the legendary Stevie Wonder. A host of celeb folks were on the show from Jill Scott, Gerald L., Kelly Price, to Jamie Foxx hosting. I thought this was a very spectacular show, in my opinion one of the best Walk of Fame honor shows BET has given. And lastly, did you see how K-ci and Jo-Jo tore the house down....singing lately.

You thought they tore the house down? Wow. I thought the show could've done without them but then again, I have never really been fond of K Ci and Jo Jo...to churchy for me. But overall, I thought it was the best Walk of Fame as of yet. Kelly Price looked FABULOUS, did she not?? And Jamie Foxx had me rollin. He is out of control! Steveeeel aaw!

I enjoyed Kelly's singing alot more than what she had on. She still looks good though. She could have worn something else. Gerald Levert...OOOOOHH WEEEEE that man sounds so good as well as Dru Hill.

Thumbs down Not that Excited

Although I did enjoy many of the performances (Jill, India, Chante, Kelly, Musiq, Levert etc...), I must say that I was not impressed. I thought that it could have been a lot better. The audience was soooooo dead. They probably stood up only twice. I wished they would have added performers who were past walk of fame recipients and some that were out with Stevie. Earth, wind and fire, Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, Anita Baker the list goes on.

Where were all of the other black entertainers because they were not in the audience. The audience was full of some high and mighties who none of us know and who were to scared to break a sweat. Jamie Foxx started to wear on my nerves after the first hour.

This was like the highlight of my week in grad school and as my roommate put it "It was like waiting all week for a hot Krispy Kreme doughnut and ending up with a Dunkin Donut." I know many of you may disagree with me but that's just IMHO

Well Tanzanite, I didn't see the show but my stepteam was talking about it before practice last night, and apparently they all agreed with you! I heard about it briefly on the radio and the report was that it was a HOT MESS. The radio stations around my way (93.9 WKYS and some of the other DC stations) do not play when it comes to giving BAD reviews. They tell it like it is...I think one of them referred to K Ci and JoJo as "black q-tips"...and of course Brian McKnight didn't get alot of praise.

I guess the bottom line is that I hope Stevie enjoyed himself...that's really all that matters.

I enjoyed most of the performances but Jamey Foxx went a little overboard - why can't we salute someone in a dignified way without turnin it into a minstrel show?

I saw the show, and I thought it was ok. I was also wondering where some of the black celebs were. I thought there would have been more there then just Wesley Snipes, and I can't even remember the other person.

But I did think Jamie was funny saying Stevel the way Elton was saying it. Oh can someone tell me who the person was that was sitting next to Stevie. She was the person to introduce Stevie. I missed when she was introduced.

The lady was Debra L. Lee. She's the president and chief operating officer.

The show was just ok, nothing special. It got a little boring so I started watching Real World. Jamie was hit and miss funny, but he began to go overboard trying to entertain the uninterested audience. If you put your good clothes on, act as if you have good sense.

K-Ci and JoJo looked like two dusty bums yelling around the stage. They made my throat hurt with their yelling. They could have left "JaRule the hyper hollering turtle" off the show as well. I enjoyed Brian McKnight, Kelly Price, and Gerald Levert. I hadn't heard the song that Jill sang but I love her voice.
