Question What is the most you've spent on a formal dress?

Hi ladies,

I was out shopping yesterday I was looking at formal dresses at a store and I was just wondering "How much do you spend on Formal dresses?" For Homecoming my dress cost $109.00.

well i'm poor, so i don't spend nearly as much as some sisters...but my dresses are usually in the $60 - $100 range....of course the key is to reuse as often as possible(eg i bought my brides maid dress for $90 couple years ago(on sale from $230!) and have since worn it at one Phi sig formal and one DX formal...and I'm sure i'll wear it again (even if i have gained 10 pounds )

One of our sisters works at a big name formal dress shop (no name to protect the innocent... he he) but we are able to borrow dresses and then give them back the next day. We just have to keep them clean and all that.

Well I haven't bought a dress for any formals for Phi Sig yet. For our Sapphire Ball last year (it was our first one) I wore a dress I had from my high school's Winter Formal... And I plan on wearing my Prom dress to this year's Sapphire Ball. (even though I was suppose to wear it last time... long story...)

I had my Prom dress made, and it cost $250. I love it!!! It's gorgeous... Plus I designed it myself. hehe!

I remember that story Beth... I know you will FINALLY get to wear that dress this year and will look HOT !!! hehehehe My dresses usually cost 60-100... I odn't buy a new one for every dress-wearing occasion though... and I only paid 7 dollars at Macy's for the dress I wore to presents which isn't really a formal event... but still a dressy- event... but I was VERY proud of my dress. !!

I just bought my sapphire ball dress

I know it may be kind of early but I found my Sapphire ball dress and it cost $196.74. This dress is so perfect, but I plan on recycling my homecoming 2002 dress for greek week 2003 formal. I'll see what I'll do about homecoming 2003 I might just recycle and save myself some more money.
