Arrow Important Question.

i was wondering how many XO chapters still do "frills" recruitment, that is with hundreds of balloons, confetti, etc... I know in my org. nationally an incredibly small percentage still do this form of recruitment. I am trying to get it changed at my campus to be a "no-frills" recruitment and XO is the only other sorority on my campus. Basically I am wondering if nationally there are some guidelines or anything along those lines that say one form must be done over another. I appreciate your help. And i do have to add that come of the XO's at this chapter are my best friends.

Well to be honest with you I don't know nationally how many XO chapters participate in No Frills Rush. My University's Panhellenic council thought about it, for all of two minutes, a few years back. But we decided it would hurt our recruitment numbers (as a whole) rather than help. Why you ask? Because at my school, there are four chapters and none of us have houses. Rush is held at the University, on the third floor of the student center in individual rooms. How BORING would it be to have a no frills rush in these student center rooms!!!

To be honest with you, and I can't speak for other organizations, but I don't know a National really that is only about No Frills Rush. I mean, we in Chi Omega have traveling rush committee that will help chapters with numbers, themes, budgeting and so forth.

From my understanding it has to be something your school's panhellenic council will have to decide and vote on

Hope that answers your question!
