Bob Evans Rest.
This question is basically about Bob Evans Restruant (sp??). I mean, seriously, is this place a bigger deal in your town? (I do know it goes by a different name out west) Because this weekend was Bob Evans Festival here at the Bob Evans Farms and there's rv's upon rv's here. ( friday I counted at least 200 in -one- of the pastures) I'm just wondering about it, cause I guess since we had the very first Bob's we don't think it's anything here anymore..lol. Oh, and on a side note, they've actually considered CHANGING the name of my university to Bob Evans Univ...yeah..that bad.

Bob Evans only had one menu item EVER that I liked. It was about a year ago, a crock pot chicken dish with gravy that ROCKED. Now that it's gone, I haven't been back....Sorry, but their food is nasty!

Since there are only four in the whole state (TN) I'd say they are NOT a big deal at all around here. (It's Cracker Barrel country down here.) I doubt most people have even heard of it. I've never been to them in Tennessee but we went there all the time when I lived in Ohio b/c they were everywhere, including to the farm when we were on a trip one time. I don't remember much about Bob Evans food wise, but it must have been okay b/c we went there a lot.

DAMMIT I miss my bob evans sausage biscuits from the grocery store.
I ONLY like their breakfast foods -- pancakes with fruit and whipped cream topping.
They have the restaurant in NC down the street from me but none of their products in the grocery store.

Ha ha Optimus Prime ~ I think they're called Homestead or something like that..I did know.
Hey CrimsonTide4, I'll send you some food
Yes, today was the last day of the farm fest and oh-my-god..I had mud to my knees!! And there were still rv's out there!! I guess the mud was so bad it took 2 tractors to pull an rv out..*teehees* stupid tourists. I've noticed that the majority of ppl who go are the exhibitors and ppl over 50...lol
Ps- everyone try their Turkey Baconmelt w/honey mustard, best thing there! But hey..just my 2 cents

They don't even have them here in Oklahoma... But we don't get lots of stuff.
I actually remember studying the Farm Fest stuff in PR Case Studies.. It was under a chapter called "The Seamless Web"..
Too bad I can't remember more about it.. just that it was one guy that made sausage and ended up being an international businessman.

They used to have a Bob's Big Boy around here - the food was like Shoney's - AWFUL. Everything was overpriced, prefab freezer food. Didn't last too long.
Gotta love yankees and what they pass off as "food"
