I have to go to recruitment tomorrow, it's the start of 11 rounds so I will have to be dressed nicely. Sorry Dani, I don't know!

Everything from soup to nuts...if you want to wear jeans, that's fine. You don't have to do "pin attire" or anything like that.

fire, good luck to you guys tomorrow. Any idea how many are going through rush? I try asking my roommate, but she doesn't seem to pay a whole lot of attention to things. It's so weird to not be there. Our rush advisor will be there, and i think we have a national consultant coming in, so i won't be there. (2 alumnae rule sucks, if it still exists?). Hope things work out more evenly than they usually do (as in only 4 or 5 houses getting quota and the rest getting like half quota, yuck!).

I've never heard of a 2 alumnae rule in all of my time at Pitt!

Not that they have been pounding down our doors. Although this semester they aren't allowed to talk to anyone for extended periods of time.
Anyway, I know what you mean about quota, but I'm not worried about it, they're going to kick butt this year!!! I know that there are at least 200 girls going through and you know there are always a ton that decide the night of, then back down to 100 because they always drop out and you know why I'm sure.
Anyway I'll tell you tomorrow if I find out for sure. They should have gotten the list tonight.

alumnae panhellenic has its first meeting tonight. I'm just going with Trish, our panhellenic delegate, to make an appearance.
Nothing is happening AA wise until bid night on monday

How fun! Have a great time, ladies! Although Pitt has always been close by, I know NOTHING about formal recruitment there or the PNMs, attitudes, what chapters do, etc......keep me posted. Pleeeeaassseee???

lol....All of the girls I've seen so far were very cute and even my sisters commented on how nice they all were....so, I hope all goes well!!

How many girls are going through? And what sororities are participating? I tried to go to Pitt's Greek website, but it was strugglin'.....All the fraternity information was there, but none of the sorority stuff!!

I think there's somewhere in the neighborhood of a little over 200. We'll see how many drop out, they always do.

From what i heard from my roommate, rush went fairly well last night. Lots of nice, cute girls. They only had 4 parties last night, and 7 tonight (they split 11 rounds up over two nights). Saturday is 8 rounds (very long day, lots of girls usually drop out after this day). Sunday is 4 rounds. Monday is pref (2 prefs). Tuesday is bid night!

fire1977 will probably be able to give a better analysis cause she's there helping her chapter. Hopefully this will be a good rush for Pitt!

Hi Ladies!!!!!
Sorry I haven't written but I've stayed for Membership Selection so I haven't been getting home until late at night.
Anyway there were I believe around 250 girls going through. Today (4 rounds) was a big cut, on my way in to Amos I saw quite a few girls crying, **SIGH** as usual. I just wanted to give them a hug and say it'll be okay just go to the parties you have but obviously I can't do that.

I've heard a couple of rumors but for the most part I think things are going well. Not sure how many dropped out, and they hadn't set quota as of 10:30. I'll let you guys know when I find out. Tomorrow's pref night..hope everyone has an awesome return on their invites!!!!

Thanks for the update! I haven't seen my roommate/little since Thursday night! She's home after I go to sleep and leaves before I wake up (except for today,she's still sleeping!). So i have NO idea how things are going for us.
I imagine it's a little crazy a) because of the number of girls going through and b) we have a Chapter Development Consultant here, and instead of getting one from the North, like we usually hope, she's from the south so i'm sure she's probably whipping our girls into shape. Pitt does things a little differently than they do down south. Hopefully her visit is a positive thing though. I might go up to the suite later today to see how things are going.
About the girls crying- that's definately a problem with going from 8 to 4. Going from 11 to 8 is easy, you barely have to cut anyone. But you have to cut a lot going from 8 to 4. But i think it's better in the long run than cutting from 8 to 5 then cutting to pref. Makes reality hit earlier for those girls who get their heart set on "those houses" (Pitt girls know who i'm talking about).
Anyway, best of luck! I'll be at bid night tomorrow, yay! If you find out anything good, let us know!
