Door Decoration Ideas
Anyone have ideas for door decorations for our new members??? I'm thinking in terms of Zeta-related phrases to write, things to make our symbols out of that are different & unique, etc. Some things that are over-used in our chapter at least include, "Seek the Noblest,", "We love our New Members!", "Only the best get crowned", "Zeta is Forever", "ZTA Princess", "ZTA bunny", etc. Anything different??? I'm going to print some things off of my computer like ZTA graphics (from the new member CD), etc.

I saw this used on a Bid Day shirt from one of the Maryland chapters, and it would work for a door decoration (make a picture of a forest scene with bunnies wearing crowns):
It's hard to be humble when you're Queen of the Jungle.

We always did door decoration during thier second or third week of the new member period. At the NMs first quickie meeting on bid day, we would ask them to fill out a form with thier campus and home info, class schedule, work schedule, favorites, etc. Then Sisters would get copies of the lists...
I returned home one day to find the door of my dorm room had a giant ZTA spelled out in mini 100 Grand bars (I'd said they were a favorite) and fortune cookies taped all over the door (Since I love chinese food)
Or big phrase was "Only the chosen wear the crown"..... ADPi tended to use the "It's hard to be humble... " stuff. And ZLAM! was big, too.... there would be giant ZLAM letters on doors of new members quite frequently.....
Hope these ideas help!
ZLAM,
Allison

I don't know i f this will help, but we always had large ZTA's placed on the girls dorm room door. Every didter did something different so that all the girls had a sign from each sister. I tried to be different so I usually did
"Sending you Strawberry dreams, with crowning smiles, on Angel's wings."

What about putting a gigantic strawberry made out of red and green posterboard on each door and saying something like "Isn't life sweet." Or, I have seen some ZTA chapters use the Smucker's strawberry jam label and say "With a name like ZTA, it's got to be good!"

I always liked "If you're gonna go Greek, why not be a goddess?" And this year our bid day shirts said, "We looked up and down, all over town, and found the best ladies to wear the crown." I like the "it's hard to be humble..." one, but ADPi used that on their bid day shirt 2 years ago. It had a lion surrounded by a wreath of violets WEARING A CROWN!! We were pissed, but of course there is a long-standing rivalry with ADPi and us on our campus.

OH! I almost forgot another good one: "Zeta Tau Alpha - the only Greek you need to know."
