Unhappy UF Rec Problems!!!

I would really appreciate it if anyone could possibly help me get a rec for ZTA, DG, KD and Tri-Delt!! Rush starts in 17 days and I still cannot find these houses!!! I am losing my mind over this!!! I am soooo nervous!!!

Good luck to every potential PC 2001!!!

I really REALLY wish I could help, but out of those the only one I got was tri-delt, and that was like a friend of a friend thing. It was really hard. Do you know which sorority you want to be in? I don't, I just want to get in anywhere!!

If the sorority is interested in you then THEY will go out of the way to get a rec for you. Don't worry about it.

Don't worry, there is still plenty of time. I found recs for several of those sororities just by contacting my local alumnae chapter. People are really willing to help out if you give them the chance to. As for the sorority finding recs for you, I wouldn't wait around that long. As a sophmore, I can tell you that recruitment at UF is super competitive, and putting out the extra effort to solicit recommendations is well worth it. Not to mention, you never know who you'll end up getting in touch with. Living in the DC area, I actually got a senator's wife to write me one! It was a total accident, but pretty cool, huh? Good luck! See you on the 18th...

Molly

Contact your local Panhellenic Alumnae Chapter and ask them to put you in touch with sorority alums. I've written recs for 5 girls so far this month who got in touch with me that way. Good luck!

Go here to find Delta Gamma Alums in Florida http://www.deltagamma.org/rosters/alum.htm

Zeta Tau Alpha Alums in Florida: http://www.zetataualpha.org/alumchaplist.htm#fl
(sorry, no links to their websites that I could see.)

Kappa Delta Alums: http://www.kappadelta.org/Services/k...chapsearch.asp

Tri Delta Alums: http://www.deltadeltadelta.org/alum/alum_chapsearch.asp

You might try contacting them and saying that you are going through Recruitment.
Also, you might want to mention your highschool..chances are the alums might have a son, daughter, neighbour, ANYONE who might know you through your high school connection and can vouch for you.
Alums might be a bit hesitant to "recommend" someone that they don't know personally.
Good Luck, hope that this helps and DO tell us how it all worked out.
