Movie: Hands down, The 40-Year Old Virgin. Original, funny, and made up for a dull summer of movies. Honorable mention goes to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Song: What The Fuss by Stevie Wonder. I am a BIG SW fan, and I am glad to hear that he still got the talent to be the best after 5 continuous decades of composing and performing music.

GC Post: I'll get back to you on that one; too many to claim offhand.

TV Show: (Pass, I don't particularly care for the TV shows that have been coming out in the past few years).

TV Personality: (Pass, same as above).

Radio Personality: Neal Conan, host of NPR's Talk of the Nation--I finally got a chance to meet him after him doing a live taping of the show at OSU's Fawcett Center on January 19. Honorable mention goes to Fred Anderle, host of WOSU's local talk show Open Line who did a joint Q&A open forum w/Neal Conan after the ToTN taping.

Celebrity News Item (Pass, do we really need to give these wahoos more credibility after all the outlandish things they tend to do whoring for attention and the paparazzi?)

Oh, I *LOVE* year-end "polls" like this!

Okay, here are my 2 cents:

Movie = "Crash", hands down. I hope the Academy doesn't forget about it come nomination time.
Song = "We Belong Together" by Mariah Carey. She had a great year and I've always been a fan, so that's my pick.
Album/CD = I guess "Late Registration" by Kanye West (he had a great year as well).
GC Post = I'm new here, so I don't have an answer for this one.
TV Show = My ultimate fav, "Desperate Housewives"! Yes, it began in 2004, but it *really* took off in it's popularity in 2005.
TV Personality = Tyra Banks (with her talk show and "America's Next Top Model")

Radio Personality = Again, don't know 'bout this one. I listen to the radio, but the only one person I can think of (newsworthy-wise) is Howard Stern, and I *DON'T* listen to him!

Celebrity News Item = I'm a pop culture whore, so there are *A LOT* of things I can choose, but I guess I'll go with anything having to do with Tom Cruise (i.e. his relationship with Katie Holmes, his "war of the words" with Brooke Shields and Matt Lauer, etc.).

Movie? I loved Crash for the category of Drama, I loved Wedding Crashers for the category of Comedy (freakin' HILARIOUS...) -- I despised War of the Worlds

Song? My Fav: A New Day by Patti LaBelle, Hated anything Reggaeton after hearing it for the nth time...

Album/CD? My Fav: Destiny Fulfilled

GC Post? not sure...

TV Show? Loved ANTM -- but, Martha Stewart's Apprentice - Hated it... (said in my best David Allen Grier voice)

TV Personality? not sure...

Radio Personality? My Fav: Star & Buc Wild

Celebrity News Item -- Hated Brittany Spears, especially when she was preggers (not to be a #@@$ but she looked kinda trailor park trashy...). Also, hated Superhead and the fact that she had her 15 minutes of fame. But I Loved it that some stars were happy in love like Bey & Jay or lil' Bow Wow & Ciara)...

Movie - Well considering I haven't seen that many this year - out of the one's I have seen I'd have to say Hustle and Flow and The Gospel (GO RATTLERS!)

Song -Eric Benet's new single- can't think of the name right now.

Cd - Kesha Cole (but I haven't reallt heard Jamie yet)

TV Show- GREY's ANATOMY HANDS DOWN!!!!!!

TV Personality - hmmm - I'll give it up to Oprah - 20 years and still number 1

Radio personality - since the pickings are slim in Tampa - I'll have to Say Olivia Fox.

Celebrity News - Kanye West's Comments about George Bush!! CLASSIC!!!!


WORST:

Movie - can't really comment b/c didn't really see any

Song - That rap song equating a woman to candy - dang what is the name of that dern song . . . Wait no- that Nelly song with Jermain Dupree, Paul Wall talking about having bling in your mouth , , no wait - shoot there are too many to list

Cd - worst one i purchased was pretty ricky - not because the songs are horrible, but because they are too mature for the audience to which they are marketing.

TV personality - As much as I love ANTM - Tyra- you are NOT a talk show host!

Radio personality - I don't know . . .

Celeb News - I mean pick one - from Luther Dying, to Peter Jennings Dying to Babyface and Tracy breaking up to Destiny's Child breaking up . . I will say though the worst was Luther's death.

Movie: (Edited) Originally I had Harry Potter, but I just saw Chronicles of Narnia. If you haven't seen it, but are able to pick up the symbolism - awesome movie. I was about to get up shout several times in this kiddie movie!
