Reverse Karma

All of my life I've been told "what comes around goes around". Send out positive energy, you get positive energy back. Same thing w/ negative energy. You get out what you put into it. And, I often witnessed it in OTHER peoples lives. However, that isn't the case with ME. When it comes to relationships, if I send out positive energy I'll get back negative (eventually), and if I send out negative energy sometimes I get positive energy back (eventually). When it comes to tasks, the more energy I put into something the worse the results, and the less energy I put into the better the results. I find this very stressful and disturbing.

Tell me that I'm not crazy and reverse karma exists. Anyone else ever experieced this?

Well, I see what you're saying. I know that in cases of early dates and job interviews (similar situations really) that you have to be very carefull regarding your energy and vibe. You have to strike this balance of being happy, confident and strong but that you really don't care too much. It's this fragile line between overzealous and completely indifferent. Therefore, I don't think that it's the type of energy you send out here so much as the amount. That might not even be what you're talking about, that was just my initial reaction after reading your post.

Then sometimes, you see good things happen to bad people and other times you get so much bad dumped on you that you wonder what you could have possibily done to deserve all of it in this or any other life. Darling, if I could explain that one I'd be a very rich woman.

Though I am by NO MEANS an expert in this area, I have done EXTENSIVE reading on the subject. First, let me recommend a book called "The Magic of Believing." It isn't so much the energy you put forth, it's what you have in your mind. Just from your post, you are making statements that send out negative energy, because they focus on things going WRONG at this TINY moment in time. (It's all relative, said Freud)

It's a way of THINKING and you MUST turn it around to be effective. Most important, you need to understand that life is a cycle. It is compared to the ebb and flow of the tides. You will have days of prosperity and good will, but you will also have days that see a decline in the positive parts of your life. The trick is to be prepared, accept them as a NATURAL part of life and instead of lingering in the discomfort of the temporary MOMENT, LOOK to the pleasure of the next phase. Of course, this could all be tripe!

I'm definately overzealous with some things and totally apathetic w/ others, not much of a midpoint. I try to hide them both, I guess I'm not doing a good job.

You're right about the cycles! My even years are bad, my odd years are good. I'm not imagining this. This is my odd year, where is the good? LOL

Oh My Gosh!

Until I got married (which broke the cycle) all my good years were ODD. (No PUN intended ) Now, my best years are even!!!
