Hey all, I'm simply writing this thread due to a couple of comments left on my guestbook on my webpage. I wouldn't normally do this, but, since they did not leave an e-mail or any type of reference for me to get back to them I am forced to do it here. (Also, I figured that is came from a GC-er, but not one that everyone likes that is, teehee) *sighs*

My comment to "Ice": I am not in a GLO as of now, that's why I do not have my 'letters' up on my site. Mind you, if I was Greek, I would have already plastered them all over it by now!

The reason I have the TKE on my chest is because I was newly pinned by my boyfriend. And in case you do not understand what that is, it's a pre-cursor to engagement. So it's not just the 'I wanna wear my boyfriends letters cause they're his blah blah blah.." I never really pushed that I wanted to wear the letters, but, it was -his- decision that we were serious enough to 'go up that one step'. It is taken very seriously in TKE of the process of pinning, and guess what, I take it seriously, and also, just so you know, I KNOW I'm not a Teke and never will be, I'm a SWEETHEART not a freaking Lil Sis. There's a difference. Also, if you visit more than just the intro page, there's plenty-o-me.

Also, from a Sorority girls prospective, it's better to be humble and not say that you WILL be in a Sorority soon. How can you be so sure that one will accept you? I know when I see a sweetheart (someone so totally obsessed with a guy in a Frat) my sisters and I will probably stamp reject across her head because she just wants to wear letters like her BF does. Not because she is fascinated about my organization. Anyhow, just be aware of how you come off, you may be a strong woman, but you look dick whipped like may girls who go out with Frat boys at my school. They think it makes them important when they are just the pussy of the week. Sorry to be blunt but I know a TKE who uses that term to talk about his girlfriend. My comment to "Uni": I KNOW I'm not a Teke, alright? I'm a bright girl, I kinda figured that one out when I seen all these guys wearing those letters and not one tried to rush me just because I didn't have a penis, what nerve!! <--Yes, that was sarcastic. Also, I do not revolve my life around my boyfriend, he way too boring for that.

Once again, visit more than just the intro page, there's more to me than just the "I love my Teke..." side, alright? I just noticed something, the quote of "It's not cool to build your life around some guy, and a TKE at that..." (<--focusing on the TKE part) For one thing, TKE is a damn fine fraternity. At the chapters that I have encountered they have been the most sweetest, nicest, all-around great guys that I have met. Better than some fraternities and sororities mind you that protest they are the "best". So please, do not generalize your opinion on all of a certain 'sweetheart' or 'TKE' or whatever just because you seen a few cases of it. It's like saying joining a GLO means that all you do is party, haze everyone you come in contact with, and ruin your college career. Now c'mon, you know and I know that's not true. So please, once again, try not to generalize one case onto a whole group. Oh, please read my definition I previously gave to 'Ice' on what a TKE sweetheart is. I do know that sometimes in different GLO's that sweethearts=lil' sis's, but, in TKE it's not like that. For one, the Lil' Sis program is banned, and being of Sweetheart status is when there -is- an engagement eminent. It's just a pre-cursor. On a quick note, I will be in a sorority if I choose to be. I've had 2 sororities rushing the hell outta me since I stepped on campus 2 years ago. I just do not want to join the wrong one for me. So guess what, I'm not worried about not being accepted. And if that case happens, *shrugs*, I'll always be pro-Greek no matter what. On another note, check your geography, things are different in each sub-society. Around here, we become engaged young, marry young, and stay together (at least with a decent combination), so please do not put down the fact that pinning is a pre-cursor to engagement. (I'm just waiting for that comment do to the fact I'm 19 and already about to get all hitched and all' <-- yes, that was for a slight hick feeling there..heh.) But, thank you for your wish of good luck on my future Greekdom.

All i can say is that it's the web... people take free speech to a whole other extreme... don't take the "rejection" quote from Uni too seriously. I am sure any organization would love to have you with them, reguardless if you are a sweet heart or not. Besides, you are adorable.

Honey, I BEG you. Get your own identity away from your boyfriend's letters. From the standpoint of someone that doesn't know you, it all looks very much like you're buliding your life and personality around the fact that you are a TKE sweetheart.

I understand that you love your boyfriend very much, but I think you're overboard, and I know if I saw you at rush, after having seen your website, it would be hard for me to see you as anything but "that girl that's obsessed with TKE".

Just being honest. I think you rock, but you need to rock outside of the scope of your boyfriend's fraternity.

you'd be surprised... and I totally agree with shine.. it *is* scary.. there are some sweethearts on our campus that make the fraternity their *LIFE*.. they are always around the house.. some of the girls around campus call them the fraternity's mascots

It just really got to me, that a supposed Greek was bashing on a pro-Greek. Ah well.

Shine- Quick thing, the 'owned' part is a just a side joke in this chapter when there is a serious girlfriend around one of those guys. Also, when a woman is pinned she kinda becomes "property of the fraternity", yes, I know, it sounds bad. But, how the guys explained this to me was if in the case I was on another campus w/o any of my 'boys' there, if anything would happen I would be sure to have help from the TKE chapter that resides there

Also, when I got my AIM and Yahoo, I was feelin' all girly and giggly about dating Dusty, so, I just used him as my inspiration

And since my AIM and Yahoo like to crash, I've never got back on to change my id's as something else

I think ur cute. I think your boyfriend is absolutely hot! I love Teke boys too! OMG... I can't get enuff of them! I wish I could get a Teke boy just so I coudl wear letters to! I'm so jealous of you! I'm not bein sarcastic, unlike the rest of the GCers... they're jealous in a bad way. You should PM me and we can chat about our Teke boys! And your website is awesome. Don't listen to all these fools. Anything that praises Teke is soooo worth it!

Oh, note to everyone else that's actually nice: send me your pics or whatever and I'll put it up on a special page on my site. It's in the making now. So, send me a GIf/jpeg or whatnot of your GLO and the proper address and I'll put it up

(I did the same thing on my HS Marching Band site, I put up all the surrounding band's gif's and addresses and it worked out great to get their #'s of visitation up
