How is your recruitment set up
I have heard stories about so many different types of recruitment so I want to know how are some of your schools recruitments set up?
At BSU we have Formal Sorority Recruitment. Each dorm is put with two or three Rho Chi's. They have two informational meetings and then the fun starts. We have 12 social sororitys and 12 groups that are going through with normally 30-60 girls in each group. On our campus each chapter has a suite in one of two dorms that are next to each other. On Wends night at 930 they will go to three designated chapters for a half hour (I think its a half hour). Then thursday night they will go to three more. Then friday night they will go to the remaining 6. Every chapter is required to be the same at each party. They talk to the girls and each chapter can sing one song and that is it. (all of the chapters also have the same outfits just hte letters are different). Then the girls go and rank the chapters in the order that they liked them. The next day they will receive 7 chapters back. They will then go to each chapter they were invited back to at a designated time. The chapters talk some more to the girls and then most do some type of skit like Annie, Wizard of Oz, Disco, ect.... Then the girls go and rank the seven from their top choice to their least favorite. Sunday Each girl comes back that night and gets three choices back. These are very personal nights. They go for one hour to each chapter location. (tonight the chapters set up in either the student center or off campus somewhere). My chapter rented limo's last years to bring our girls to a church. Most where black formal dresses and its a very elegant night for all. Personaly stories are told and our sisterhood and bonds are shown. That night the girls go and rank the three again. Then the next night is bid night. They go to their original groups and meet. Their Rho Chi's give them their bids. Then everyone meets normally at one of the gyms where all the girls run to their new home. This is also where the Rho Chi;s get to unvail what chapters they are in.
