Majors
Yay! I thought of an academics topic!
One of the fraternities at my school used to say "we have brothers from 30 majors" as a positive during rush. For your chapter and the others on your campus, do you have a diversity of majors, or do all the accounting majors end up in ABC, all the education majors in XYZ, etc?

All majors end up getting spread around the campus at GMU, however, there are more CS majors than anything else on campus, so a huge chunk of the Tekes here are CS, DMIS, MIS or something like that.

We have a wide variety in mine. Some of the more popular ones are:
- Political Science and History (that's me)
- Secondary Ed
- Business (the major with the most sisters)
- Speech Pathology
- Journalism
- Asian/Pacific Studies
Everyone seems like CBA for some reason. Oh well, business just wasn't my thing. We save study notes and have test/quiz banks for future reference, so having a wide array of majors is very helpful!

Since my GLO is a professional arts fraternity, most of our majors are in an arts field. We do, however, include all creative & performing arts, as well as their histories and therapies. Another thing is that our National Constitution & chapter bylaws read in a way that even non-majors can join. So we get a few people with arts minors or even math/science majors who are just really super active in the arts (like being in every single play, being in 2 or 3 music ensembles, etc.)
My chapter was at a campus with a big Conservatory of Music (big in comparison to the school), so nearly 1/2 our members were music majors of some sort. We also had a lot of communications/PR & education majors. With a dash of writing & art majors.

We have a really wide range of majors. There are a lot of elementary ed and communications majors, but the entire school is like that. We also have a chem major, a classics major, and a geology major (that's me).

ALL of our guys are engineering math or science, of course that's all my school offers One guy is Electrical Engineering/Economics double major. Now, we do represent many of the majors offered at Rose: Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Chemical, and Civil Engineering, Math, Computer Science, Applied Optics, and of course Economics. The only ones we don't have are Physics and Chemistry as far as I can remember. The school webpage is down.
Our campus is a nice campus for Triangle, because it doesn't matter what the guys major is, he can still be in the fraternity.

At my school all the sororities and frats are diverse and take just about any majore. The exception is sigma chi that has mainly business and engineer majors.
But, like i said, every other group is a melange of majors.

Psych is very popular in my chapter, along with Econ. We have a lot of premeds, but everyone else is basically spread along the other disciplines.

I'm majoring in Communications, AKA the sorority major....it's about 80% female (you definitely don't meet guys in your classes), and actually has quite a few sorority girls, which is great for study groups!

Ohmygosh, we have everything...
Just a sampling here, it's crazy!:
Architecture, Music, Anthropology, Engineering, Art, Dance, History, English, Bio (pre-med), Hotel and Restaurant Mgmt., Radio/TV Broadcasting, PR, Math, education, etc. etc. There are only a few people in the chapter that actually share a major and most of them are education or marketing or something. It's pretty cool

Yup I love that fact about all my classes!! Corp Communications here...
My house has a lot of safety education majors... Then a lot of Comm majors. Probably the same # of Criminal Justice Majors.. From there on it's pretty diverse.
