Get them to take pride in the chapter house. It should be spotless. If they don't care to pitch in to do their part to keep a nice house, then you have other problems.

If that fails, raise dues and hire a housekeeper.

House manger is one of the toughest jobs in a Fraternity!

How to shame them?

Get approval from chapter and ask them to start off with, "Do You live this at home? If your Mother came for a visit, would she be happy, sad, or mad?"

If get NO rise out of members ask council to not only add fines, but if to many points are amassed, do not let the members to join in with parties or other events!

Good luck GC Buddy!

I say don't even bother trying to get them to clean. Young men can live in a pig sty and be perfectly happy. Insist that monthly dues for every member pay an amount for at least weekly professional cleaning service.

No fines, no points, no punishments, no keeping track of who can go to parties, etc.

Great, hire a cleaning service! So when these dumb asses graduate from college they will know how to live like slobs! Most likely the will find out quick if they date a nice girl who won't put up with that crap!

Good luck slobs of America!
