new GLOS

This question is to all. How do already established historically black fraternities feel about new black fraternities. I am a member of Beta Phi Alpha INC. This is a predominantly black fraternity founded in 1994. I just wanna know if yall would give us respect like yall give yall NPHC fam .

In a word, no. In two words, hell no!!!

For real, do your thing. I'm not a hater or a hinderer. Just don't look to me for validation, cause I'm not rubber-stamping any post-School Daze wanna-be's. You asked, I answered. High School Greeks, Dormitory Greeks, Locals, Church Greeks. Its like instant mash potatoes now a days.

Anyway, don't let me rain or your parade. You do you and be happy. You have no one to please but you and your brothers.

Thumbs up u do u

All Fraternities... from 1776 to 2002 had to start somewhere... Respect is given to whom respect is earned.. Don't look to others for respect. Just follow the tenents of the Fraternity you chose, and be happy with your choice..

Swamp Thang, you got a good point I got love for all Greeks. I figure it is like pickin schools. You can go to a big university or pick a small school. Where ever you go you are getting an education, thats all that matters right? And plus which ever (school) you dicide you are all called students nothing more nothing less. I call my frat my brothers and my soror sisters, i call everyone else cousins na mean. Plus 4 of my real cousins are Ques.

Anybody else feel free to respond

Much Respect, mi left de place brejen.

This is my first time hearing about your organization.

My question is is the "ooo s**t" official? is it your "call"? or a lil something, something?

All I got to say is "Ain't nuthin but a G thang Baby!!!!"
But for real son keep your head up and on the real you don't need validation from nobody- absolutely nobody!! Your organization exist for a purpose and within that purpose be the best that you as a member can be. It's good to see the diversity that's happening across the country now and days and I'm proud to see it happening. WGLO's been diverse since day one so it's good to see that we don't limit ourselves to 8 ideologies, 8 orgs., or 8 meanings of what a Black Man and Woman is in this day and age. We as a people are becoming as diverse as the country we live and breathe so I say well done keep on groovin' and maintain because it's gets harder the more you grow.

Excuse_3

You left the door wide open for a response like you got from Doggy Style82. It sounds like you really want respect from the Divine Nine for you to even come like that. I say, be proud of the organization you are in, but don't expect everyone else to like it, or even respect it. In 1913, being an African American woman with political aspirations wasn't exactly popular, but it was in their (oh I forgot you might not know....Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1913) hearts, and we now reign supreme as leaders in our communities. So do you, but don't let it get to you if you're not accepted the way you would like to be.
