Living on a Sorority Floor
I just got my dorm assignment for this fall. My school I will be attending does not have greek houses, only greek floors, and I just found out I was assigned to live on the AOII floor, with an AOII roommate. Apparently, I applied late, and the only rooms available were smoking floors, or a Greek floor. I called my roommate (who is an upperclassman, I dont even live with a freshman) for a little get to know you, find out who's bringing the blender and who's bringing the microwave kind of convo and the first thing she asked was if I was rushing, then she told me she was an AOII, and I was on the AOPi floor, and that she w asnt allowed to talk to me until rush was over. This is so wierd! Rush doesnt start til the second week of school, so I just wont talk to my roommate until then? And, isnt this going to be awkward if I was to get a bid from another house, and I still live on a floor not just with all AOII's, but, that is thier HOUSE, they have thier chapter room there and everything. Does anyone else see this as a problem?
