any nursing majors/ nurses?

I recently decided to return to school for a 2nd degree in nursing and would like to hear others' (who are either nursing majors or nursing) experiences in this field.

thanks

I am not a nurse...but I am a nurse recruiter...so I would say...hang in there! The rewards are DEFINITELY WORTH IT!

Well I happend to be a nursing major and I am enjoying every minute of it. I graduate next december and I cannot wait until I am out there. Nursing is a rewarding career to go into there are so many avenues you can go into besides working in the hospital. I am currently in the medical profession as a respiratory therapist and I chose nursing to broaden my career. I want to work in OR as a scrub nurse for heart surgeries. Someday become a nursing ethist so I can use both nursing and respiratory skills together.

luvelylocs,

After graduating over seven years ago from college with a degree in CJ and Psych. I returned to school this last year for a second degree. I am now finishing my junior year of nursing school. I love it!!!

The school took 80 credit hours from my previous undergrad. Leaving me with 48 hours for graduation. Nursing school is 44 hours. When I am done it will have taken me six semsters. However, that is part-time... if there is such a thing... I have 8hours this summer. I spent four in class and 16 hours at the hospital!

Please feel free to PM if you have specific questions.

In the Greek Bond,
Shelly
