Badges on class rings
Last week the Herff jones and art carved people were on my campus and when i talked to them about getting one with my badge on it they said they don't do that anymore. They only do letters. I was wondering if you guys had heard the same thing or if it was a load of crap. I really wanted my badge on mine, but guess i'll just have to get the letters instead.

Herff Jones ain't the only game in town (in fact they're really overpriced). Check around and you can probably find someone that'll do it for you. I don't really know if this will help but you may check Masters of Design

You might also try contacting Balfours (or however you spell it) I know they used to make badges and such. I checked their site a while back and it looks like they make class rings now.

slightly off topic
I don't know anything about badge rings, but I recommend using ANYONE other than Herff Jones. It took them, no kidding, 5 tries to get my ring correct. And it's not hard, I only have University of FLorida, BSN, and 02 on the ring. Once they got that straight, they spelled my name incorrect and changed my middle initial. I ordered the ring in September, I got the final product in May. Just to give you a heads up on their workmanship...

I think having a badge incorporated into your class ring is a really cool idea. Some GLOs have really strict rules on what companies can produce their badges & other official insignia, which may be why you're having trouble locating a company that would be able to do that with a class ring. (If they don't/can't have the die for your badge, they can't make the ring.) Good luck, though, & let us know if you find anyone!!

I also suggest trying the Balfour Jewelry Co. I know for a fact they have a Pi Phi crest ring (But also take into consideration that they were founded by a Pi Phi and may have more of our stuff. I don't know for certain.). I don't know for sure if you can get the extra stuff put on it but at least it's a lead!

Very cool idea.
I don't think they did that when I was in college. You could get your letters in the stone, but we didn't have nearly as many options as you do today.

Does J.O. Pollack still exist? They might be able to help you out, too.
