I just finished watching the third episode.....I missed the first half b/c I was on the phone with one of my sisters, but I laughed my @$$ off at the second half! So why did the "sober pledge sister" get rather tipsy and lie and say someone had borrowed her car when she got a call to go and pick up Jessica who was too tipsy to drive?! Good one ace! They all know now that you lied. Oh, and that you hid the alcohol in the trunk of your car that you drank in the house.

Thumbs down

This is the most f**king ridiculous show I have ever seen. (Sorry for the harshness). Who do these girls think they are? Whining about how the other pledges are "unsupportive" of them living in the house-well no kidding!! This is going to be the most divided, non-bonding, non-trusting pledge class from HELL!!

And what is up with the girl who's whining about how school is getting in the way of her partying. Jeezus. And I really like how the "sober sister" gets tipsy and refuses to give other pledges rides. Very classy.

I was thinking about that...here they are talking about the sisters, drinking in the house, and lying about the whereabouts of the car, but no one's going to find out about it til after they're initiated and the show airs! Granted they'll probably get in a little trouble, but they'll already be sisters.

They're so fake with each other, Jessica vs. the Five. The pledge class has no unity if the Five have to ask, "Oh, are we invited to the pledge gathering?"

I thought it was pretty messed up how she lied so she didn't have to go pick up her pledge sister. I bet if someone pulled that on her she'd be pissed. Lucky for the jessica, the sisters were there to give her a ride home. I think its really really bad that you leave someone too drunk to drive at a bar so you can drink at home.

Maybe I should have named this thread the "Jordan and Candace Show." Is this show about sorority life or Jordan's (possibly) unfaithful boyfriend? Is it about sorority life or Candace's drinking issues? I agree with ChiOJenn78 that if these girls initiate, the pledge class will be a divided mess!

Wait...I think I see Dede...don't blink, you might miss her! Actually, I like Dede so maybe it's a good thing they aren't showing her, because if they did, they'd make her look like a moron too.

Wink

http://televisionwithoutpity.com has some interesting spoilers about Sorority Life. The thread is under "pick a forum here" and then "other TV talk."

I just wanted to say that I've been watching the "Sorority Life" show and I really don't think it's that bad. I mean, HELLO! It's MTV, this is not how real sororities are. The show is merely for entertainment...and they aren't even a national sorority. And, yeah, when this is over they are going to have a divided pledge class, but honesty, when I pledged we were divided. Some people you just can't like no matter how hard you try. You can't be everyone's friend. I know that sounds horrible, but it's reality. Besides, it seems like that Jessica girl was planted in the house simply to spy on them, she hasn't shown one ounce of interest in trying to be their friends; so why should they go out of thier way to be hers! I don't mean to sound like a snot, but my pledge class acted in a similiar way, and out of the girls that got along, we turned out to be great friends. Division is okay by me.

I didnt even notice that. I'll have to look closer next time.
I was just waiting for the actives to bust them with the alcohol. Go figure Jessica would meet them and ask for a ride.
As far as the pledge class being divided and the 4 (I say 4 b/c you barely see Dede interacting) of them against Jessica goes.... that's the 4's fault. THEY are the ones who decided to become paranoid and think she was out to get them from the start. We havent seen them invite any of their pledge sisters over to hang. When they asked Jessica about the non-sigma affiliated party and whether they were invited, no offense but I actually had a smile on my face when she didnt respond. No offense again, but why should you be invited if you havent made any effort to talk to any of your other pledge sisters (at least from what we see) except for pledge meetings and to talk about the actives.
One seen I thought was funny was when Leslie and another active saw Candace and Candace was saying how behind she is and tired. The actives and I might have been thinking the same thing....whatever, you've got a HANGOVER .
I hope the pledges get a little bit more serious b/c this seems to be going down quick.

My two cents is that the show is not showing the sorority at all. The show is now about a group of girls living together and how they interact (kind of) and they just happen to be pledging (I hate that word) a sorority. I think I just continue to watch the show, because it is another real world show. I started out watching it for the sorority life, but that doesnt seem to be there. Hopefully more episodes will show sorority life. The fact is though that I am beginning to doubt that.

Ok so I think maybe would should consider this.....MTV is MTV everything they do is totally edited strategically....jazzed up (hello the pledge house....wish we had one of those) .....and they wanted to pick a sorority that they could show in the Real World/ Road Rules style....fighting......drama....etc. Honestly who would watch the show if it were true to life? I mean I would bc I am greek but otherwise there would be no appeal to their main target audience. Although the Greek World is large the "outsiders" or non-Greeks are the majority. The show isnt great but its not all that bad. The house pledges are not the ideal pledges but we def had issues with pledges maybe not lying and drinking while sober sister (HELLO RIDICULOUS) but if you take sorority life and make it MTV STYLE SAEPI or Jordan and Candance vs. pledges is what you get Just my two cents

I think it was VERY disrespectful for Candace to nominate herself for DD and then turn around and start drinking! Gee, she's definitely someone that I would want as my sister

I caught bits and pieces of it, and I am just astounded by the level of disrespect that has been shown. Candace and Jordan obviously have no interest whatsoever in the sorority and I really don't understand why they're sticking around (besides to be on camera). Sure, it's normal for people to not get along, but this is out of hand.
On a completely shallow side note , Jordan's makeup has got to go. She looks like she learned to put on makeup at clown school. SO trashy! Blech!

It was really stupid for them to start drinking in the house, I mean even if the sisters didnt find out then, they definetly know now and are probably real mad. They should have thought about the fact that MTV was there and of course they would put them drinking in the pledge house on the show!
