Fee Structure for 2002-2003
(for chapters and colonies existing on or before June 1, 2002)
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEES
$ 76.00 per man for the year OR $ 46.00 per man each semester
Best option is to pay your AMF in full for the year, due by October 15, 2002. The chapter or colony will save $16.00 per man by paying for the year. If choosing the split option, the first installment of $46.00 per man is due October 15, 2002, and the second installment of $46.00 per man is due no later than March 15, 2003. As was enacted at Conclave 2001, graduate students have the option to be active members of a TKE chapter or colony. Any graduate student wishing to be an active member must pay Annual Membership Fees. Graduate students include all students who have received a bachelor's degree but are still taking classes at a college or university.
RISK MANAGEMENT/LIABILITY INSURANCE ASSESSMENT
The Offices of the Grand Chapter are no longer responsible for the direct collection of this group assessment. Your chapter or colony must remit prompt payment to the Hobbs Group/Kirklin & Company, LLC. The Hobbs Group will bill each group directly for these fees. Failure to pay these fees on time can jeopardize your school and Fraternity-required liability coverage, as well as the coverage for the overall Fraternity. Special discounts or surcharges may be added to your assessment based upon your chapter/colony's compliance with risk management guidelines and any claims that may have been filed against TKE or your group during the 2001-02 fiscal year. Please pay special attention to the early payment discount, which is available if your chapter/colony pays its assessment in full prior to a certain date.
CANDIDATE FEES
$ 74.00 per new member
All candidates must pay this fee. Candidate fees are due within 14 days of bid acceptance. After the 14-day deadline the chapter or colony becomes responsible for the candidate fee even if the candidate drops out later in the semester. We highly encourage every candidate to register with TKE on-line at
www.tke.org and submit their payment electronically. Full and proper use of the on-line registration system greatly speeds up the processing of membership materials and will save each chapter or colony time and effort in the collections process.
INITIATION FEES
$ 195.00 per man OR $ 425.00 for lifetime fee
All chapters and colonies must collect and remit the initiation fee ($195.00 or $425.00) from the candidate prior to initiation and remit the fee to the Offices of the Grand Chapter, postmarked within 15 days of initiation, or a $45.00 penalty will be added to each late initiation fee. All initiates that pay the $425.00 lifetime fee will not have to pay AMF's for the rest of their collegiate careers. Again, we highly encourage on-line registration and payment at
www.tke.org (see note above).
HONORARY INITIATION FEE
$ 90.00 per Honorary initiate
Honorary membership applications must be approved at least two weeks in advance by the Executive Vice President, and the fee is due with the application. Honorary members may not be an undergraduate at the college where he is being initiated, must be of good character, and may not be an initiated member of any other college fraternity. The chapter Prytanis, Advisor, or Alumni Association should write a letter endorsing the prospective honorary initiate.
CONCLAVE 2003 SAVINGS PLAN
$ 150.00 per semester
Conclave installment payments are due no later than November 30 for the fall 2002 semester and April 30 for the spring 2003 semester. Conclave 2003 will be held in Dallas/Irving, Texas, July 17-20, 2003.
