Kappa Alpha Thetas on other campuses?
Hi, I just finished pledging Theta and am curious about what the reputation is at campuses across the US. I'm so thrilled to be a sister!!!

I just thought I would let you know about the Theta's at MSU. OUr house is right across the street from the Theta house. The place is ALWAYS beautiful and the girls always wave and say Hi to us. The few Thetas I know are all SUPER sweet! They seem to be some of the more outstanding greeks I know. When I rushed I considered Theta, they have a very high and respectiable reputation here. Theta's really are a great group of women on the MSU campus!

Theta at the University of Arizona is arguably the best house. They ALWAYS make quota and have the most beautiful girls. They have a rep for being "barbies", basically perfect. They also have a rep for being bitchy but all of the Thetas that I have met have been real nice. We had a dinner with them a year ago and they were soooo nice, we were all a little surprised. Anyway that's the UA Thetas....

If you want the Canadian perspective, Kappa Alpha Theta has Canadian chapters at:
U of Alberta
U of Western Ontario
McGill
I have Theta friends from U of Alberta and UWO and they have good reputations...not too sure about McGill, but I think in general, the Greek system there is having a tough time, since McGill is an English university in a French city (Montreal).
Alas, their chapters at UBC (my Alma Mater), U of Guelph and U of Toronto are now closed.
I just thought I would point out this interesting fact that Kappa Alpha Theta was the first ever NPC to "set up shop" in Canada.
It was their chapter at University of Toronto, Sigma chapter which was established in 1887 and ran until 1941 .
Since that chapter is now closed, the oldest Canadian NPC chapter is Alpha Phi's Xi chapter, established in 1906, also at the University of Toronto.

I don't go to the University of Georgia, but several of the girls I grew up with are Thetas there. I've always heard that they are a great group of girls that are well liked. We don't have KAT at VSU, but I think, overall, they're a really well-respected organization.

Oh, Thetas are fabulous at UGa! Do I ever know! There's this ritzy private school in town where all the cream of local society go and the girls generally want to be Thetas. Of course, Theta can't take all the local girls who want them and it gets really dramatic around town as the girls start to be cut.

The Kappa Alpha Theta's at Stanford are very well respected for their charitable endeavors. They put on the Theta Breakers each year which is a run/walk for charity. They are fantastic and honorable women, and you have done yourself proud by joining such an organization.

My house has nothing but good things to say about Theta. I believe they came back on campus not too long ago, and they already are one of the top houses at SDSU. They have a beautiful house.
Personally, when i had to do interview some of the sorority girls when i was a pledge, most of the houses kinda ignored me, just let me sit there by myself, and occasionally they'd acknowledge me and give me an interview. Not Theta. They were so laid back, they let me hang out with them and I got a LOT of interviews from them.
They're "reputation" of sorts are the girls who are fun to hang out with and cool to talk to. We love Kappa Alpha Theta.

Thetas at Nebraska are one of the top houses, and have been for years.
When my parents were at UNL in the mid 70's the Thetas were sorority that even my Independent parents took notice of.
Now a days, they are still a great house...usually they win grades among the sororities and therefore have the highest greek chapter GPA (until this past semester when we betas won it! ), plus they are considered to be in the top 3 in terms of looks.
I have one good friend who is in Theta and she's super awesome: Smart, hot, involved, fun etc. For the most part her sisters are really cool too, particularly the ones that routinely come to our parties.

One of my good friends is a Theta at Hanover College and she is the sweetest girl I know. She would never be apart of an organization that wasn't classy.
