Would you?
If pledging(without the brutality)was the only way to get into your organization; knowing what you know now, WOULD YOU? For those of us that did, WOULD YOU DO IT AGAIN?

of course... if you want it that bad then why not? It's putting your all into something and not giving up.
Oh and by the way hello....
I'm not in an org...but I would definitely pledge to join...I wouldn't want it any other way (without the brutality;0)

Hello back atcha! I feel the same way. I was thinking about taking a poll on this question, but it doesn't seem like many people find it worth answering. I would've e-mailed a copy of the responses to all of the Greek-Lettered organizations to see what they thought.

Of course, I'd do it again to get in who would just want to be a member.

Hell yea!
Although it was one of the hardest things that I had been through in my life, I definitely do it over. I didn't say I would like doing it again.

Most definitely!!!
I would do it again and again.
I want that experience...rights of passage is very important me...its a growth thing as well as a brotherly thing!
It makes you more perceptive (I don't care what anybody says)! There is something to be said about that kind of process...but as I've said before, I refuse to fault any member for going through less at a time when our fraternity as a whole sanctions less!

I would do whatever it takes to learn my information however, I will not risk my principals or morals for nothing. I believe and I am totally for pledgeing with a purpose because without that, you are compromising everything your founders' stood for.

Just a sisterly note.

I am not a member of an organization. However, I would definitely pledge to enter an organization. I think the process would be great learning experience for those that are willing to endure. Besides I think it would make most more wiser, stronger, and more appreciative. Honestly, I would not want to enter any other way, (well minus the "brutality" part)!

I would definitely do it over again. I learned so much about myself while being on line. How you are on line reflects how you will be in the organization and in life. And there were some things that BIG SISTER made me change while on line to ensure that I wouldn't be a shady Delta. So, heck yeah, I would do it again!! There's nothing like that pledge process...breaks you down to nothing and builds you up into something!

you go, soror
That is exactly what the process was designed to do! While online, you not only learn your history (org, NPHC, Black), you should learn about yourself and your ls/lb. This process involves realizing your strengths and how they will benefit the team. It also identifies your weaknesses and gives you the tools to use them in a positive and beneficial manner. The process should build cohesiveness within the line and bond the line to the chapter and overall org. If the process doesn't do these things, the it is a waste of time and resources.

To answer the original question, I would do it over again in a heartbeat. I would, however, look to change some things I did personally because looking back, I see that I could have made better decisions. My chapter's process was timely and effective so I wouldn't change that part.
