The "Z's" the Thing! - From Lock Haven

Brothers- on a note of some interest to you.

I was in the great city of Lock Haven last Thursday morning for business. And while in town, I stopped by the once great Lambda Chi Alpha Mansion. I was curious to see if it was demolished yet, and it had not been at this time.

Anyway, I took a walk around the grounds and, lo and behold, next to the shattered remains of the larger ritual equipment (nice) I found in mint condition- the "Zeta" that had been on the house outside below the "Lambda Chi Alpha" Letters.

The "Lambda Gamma" letters (of Lambda Gamma Zeta) are still 30 feet up next to the destroyed main letters on the house.

I took the "Zeta" and placed it in my trunk and took it home. Afterwards I cleaned it up and placed itwith a variety of materials to go to the Shippensburg Lambda Chi House this summer for our chapter house "fix up weekend".

Ive decided that if this letter has survived being in a yard for 2 years now, it must have some "spirit" of it's own. Probably from watching hundreds of huge parties and thousands of underage drinkers since 372 Water Street was made the LGZ house sometime in the 1970's.

Therefore, this summer it will be placed in the party room of the Phi Tau Chapter house, next to some other memorabilia in the basement walls, until such time as the Lambda Gamma Chapter is returned to the Campus of Lock Haven University.

Alumni Brother Ed Chatterton retains the bulk of their chapter property, but I felt that this item needed to go where it was around the "spirit of the fraternity" that OBVIOUSLY kept it from harm's way.

Pretty Cool , in a small trivial way!
