Omega Atlanta Stepshow and Party

Who wants to be out at the 7th District Conference with the Omegas of the Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi? April 11th thru the 14th.

All Greek Stepshow is Thursday nite at Morehouse.

Chi Gamma Gamma and Psi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. will host the 7th District Marchdown and Open Step Competition on Thursday, April 11, 2002, at 6:30 pm, in Forbes Arena, on the campus of Morehouse College. General admission is $10.

After the District Marchdown, there will be an open step competition which will begin about 7:30 pm. Teams from the metro area will compete for a monetary prize.

Come out and support this worthwhile event. Tickets may be purchased on the evening of the event at the arena.

the stepshow was tight

Just to give a brief report on what went down at the stepshow...

The evening started off with a few words from Grand Basileus Lloyd J. Jordan

In the 7th district Marchdown

Sigma Delta Chapter (Auburn Univ)

VS.

Kappa Alpha Alpha (Grad Chapter)

The old school graduate brothers won and they where tight!! Sigma Delta was also very competitive with some tough acrobatic steps and a off the hook intro theme with an included power point presentation.

The stepshow consisted of the Deltas from Clark Atlanta University stepping against the AKAs from Alabama A&M.
The CAU Deltas used the same routine they did for a taping of Road Rules that will air later this year on MTV. Most of the crowd had already seen this show but it was tight nonetheless. The AKAs show was the same show used my the Phi Beta Sigma Unknown step team to win Stepcorrect 2000, myself knowing this..it seemed to be not as interesting..but they pulled it off and there are some tough steps in that routine. In the end the AKAs won and it was well deserved.

Then the Sigmas from Georgia Tech stepped against the Spring 2002 Omegas here from Morehouse. The Sigmas where quite boring..they showed no enthuisiam and it looked like they should have put in a few more hours of practice. Thursday was the first day on the yard for the Omega neos and they where hype. This showed through in their performance on stage. Needless to say they won the stepshow. But Honestly when the stepshow is put on by the Psi Chapter here at Morehouse..I dont think they where gonna let the new boys lose.

I enjoyed the show..and I think I spotted some GCers roaming around the arena..so if you where there..give your take on the show.

Peace and Love

Alias, glad to hear that you were at the show. Too bad that we did not meet. I was there as well as 12DSTDN and Conspiracy.

Your take on the show was right on. Having seen neither of the sorority shows previously, they were fresh to me. Both of the Deltas and AKAs were good, however, the Deltas were the winners, not the AKAs (as told to me by one of the AKAs from Alabama A&M who stepped). Did not know that they "borrowed" said show.

The Sigma show was straight booty in my unbiased opinion, but at least they showed up and won $500. At least they knew better than to do a "tribute" step to the Ques when they did evryone else. Even though it was on Morehouse's campus, only one of the 7 judges was a Bruh and those boys were tight, especially being only 2 days old!!

Hope that you can make the picnic in Washington Park at 3 pm on Sat.

the show was cool. the Bruhs ripped it all the way around. the Psi Neos were definetly off the chain!

I knew I'd seen the AKA show somewhere b4, but I couldn't place where. Now I know. Sorors did that show in December as well, same place too. It was like deja vu for real. I'm not even going to comment on the Sigma's STEP show, but the one man show after they got done...oh my

And yes, I was so fortunate to meet the man, the myth...DoggyStyle (even though he did screw up my screenname ;p).

I am planning to go to the BBQ on Saturday, provided SOMEONE e-mails me directions

yeah, that was me! I was just thinking about it and do believe I was the only one wearing a tan jacket.

The weather is going to be a huge deciding factor on if I go to the park or not, but if I do go, be on the look out for me. I'll have a hockey jersey on with the Delta sign on the front (another original).

I'm sorry about the name thing. Hopefully the weather will clear up because the Bruhs were off the hook at the hotel last nite. The poor, white patrons didn't know what hit them.

Kelli and Maya, thanks for being good Sorors and showing the Bruhs some Coleman Love and being easy on the eyes as well.

After a weekend of fun, fraternization, frivolity, revelry, drunkeness, womanizing (looking and occasionally touching), I am convinced of a few things.

A) Women love the Bruhs
B) Bruhs can drink much brew
C) Bruhs can eat much chicken
D) Two Ques equal too much testosterone
E) 200 hundred Ques equals many calls to hotel security
F) Old Bruhs get heated when they have discovered that they left their Viagra at home.
G) Strippers work extra hard for their money when the Q's are in town
H) Ques are nasty and the older, the dirtier.
I) Strange women tell you that it makes them moist when we bark
J) Everyone knows to clear the floor when Atomic Dog comes on
K) No one has more enthusiasm than a Que
L) Some Bruhs don't have a dental plan (what's up with that?)
M) Nobody steps like the Sons of Blood and Thunder. Nobody marches like a nasty Q-Dog
N) Bruhs will cuss and talk about getting some p- ---y in a crowded elevator full of old white ladies.
O) Lastly, there ain't nothing better than being an Omega Man!!!

One question:

Why do the Jenny Craig drop-outs wait en-masse at least one hr after the party hoping that the Bruhs will think of them as chicken right off the grill?

What's even funnier is that a few met their objective of finding some temporary canine love. The one's who didn't were consoled by the buffet.
