Pretty Girls???
Pretty Girls???
To the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
How much does physical appearance factor into your decision to accept someone into your sorority?
If a person has an excellent GPA, is active in their community and on campus but they aren't the ideal standard of beauty would you reject them. Would you want an "ugly" person in your organization? I only ask b/c I have read posts that have been made by members greek orgs. and non members about people who are not attractive (ie, the singer BRANDY and how FAR apart her eyes are.)

Re: Pretty Girls???
SLOPPY is unacceptable.
Pretty is relative.
Super models with poor grades, no community service, and no clue of sisterhood or the ideal of Finer Womanhood in their daily lives NEED NOT SHOW INTEREST in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
Thank you!

I agree, soror. Personally, Zeta is a sorority ie an organization based on sisterhood. Thus, it's not a popularity or beauty contest. Of course, I am "phine."

Being a Zeta isn't all about physical attractiveness or the lack thereof - it's about having a beautiful spirit and work ethic.
Sure, it's nice to have "pretty" sorors in your chapter; for the record, if ANYONE tells me that a Zeta isn't pretty, I'll have to get rough with ya! But it's more important in my current graduate chapter (Pi Kappa Zeta of Burlington, NC) to have Zetas with "pretty" spirits, strong work ethics and a true understanding of ALL of Zeta's principles. Let me also say that PKZ is a GORGEOUS chapter full of lovely ladies of the dove.

Although Pretty is a word used in my name I use often on the web, it reflects both my inner and outer beauty. I am SO much more than just a pretty girl. My organizational choice reflects that. I am a woman of substance, intelligence, style, and grace. Women of Zeta reflect our principles: Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love, and FINER WOMANHOOD.
Many have asked what it means to be a Finer Woman and there is an excellent definition of what it means to be a Finer Woman that I will share as well as the definition of Finer Womanhood.
Definition of a Finer Woman:
Quote:
Anyone can be a lady, gender will grant you that, but it takes a lady extraodinaire to be a woman and an extraordinary woman to exemplify Finer Womanhood-Soror Debra Vincent Sloan
|
Definition of Finer Womanhood:
Quote:
The distinguishing characteristics of a woman. One superior in kind, quality or appearance; marked by or affecting elegance or refinement.
|
Now, with that being said, if you meet the qualifications of a Finer Woman of Z PHI B, then by all means apply and good luck.
