WDWCP Alumni - Fall 2000
Wow - it's been a LONG time since i've been to sunny, lovely vista way!
i lived in --- you'll never guess - apt. 911~!!! SWEAR!
I loved the college program, and while i wasn't greek while i was down there - i often left notes on people's cars who had the same school sticker as me, or the next school up, or even if i was feeling particularly homesick, people with my state's license plate - enjoy your time there- it will forever change your life. i have a KILLER web-page - email/pm me if ya want a link.

Are you on co-op or something? My roommate is co-oping at Disney and another girl and I are going on spring break to visit her. The girl on co-op is a fashion designer, working in retail there. She's a Chi Omega. PM/IM or email me and we can see if yall want to chat or meet up.

My boyfriend's sister ( ) was looking into the WDW program and found out that most of the first year kids get crappy jobs like picking up WDW trash and cleaning toilets. I don't know how true this is, but I thought I'd warn ya'll to at least find out what kinds of jobs you can get!

Resident Dork
Okay, Well, as the resident dork of the boards when it comes to disney, please let me offer the following words of advice on the program.
If you are from a different school than where the presentations are being held (Ex. I go to FSC, and presentations are held at WVU) then be prepared to interview that night. -- Nice clothes, think of things you want to say during your interview, etc.
Be yourself! Disney is big on diversity - they don't want some cookie cutter people working in their parks!!!
You can work more than toilets or trash bins. I went there the first time and worked at a ride and theatres - it's a lot of fun!
do your homework - get on the web!

Oh!! I miss Vista Lay!! The Disney program is the reason I joined a sorority in the first place. I wanted to go Greek, but it isn't all that big on my campus. Everyone I met at Disney was Greek, so I checked it out when I came home....and here I am!!
Anyway, if anyone is looking into Disney, there are some ups and downs. My roommates were really, really weird. One of them actually brought a COLLECTION of vibrators with her (isn't one enough??) You can stuck with some nut cases, like I did. And my job sucked. I worked at Peco's, and it was just as good as flipping burgers at Mickey D's. But on the flip side, I met some wonderful people that I still keep in touch with all over the country. Just keep an open mind, bring money to drink at Jungle Jim's (there is no REAL drinking age in the Jungle!) and never, ever, ever agree to go under the stipulation that you will work fast food. Good luck!!
