A great loss

I sit here with bad news. The Greek community lost a member on Tuesday March 12th. Adam D. Hogge died in a car accident on tuesday. Adam was an AKL brother at VCU. A bunch of greeks were at Panama City including is fraternity. We we found out the news the whole hotel was quiet. It was a very sad day for us. many lost a friends and some lost a brother. I was not best friends with Adam, but i had asked him to my formal just two weeks before and I was excited.I am very lucky to have met Adam and have had him in my life. I feel sad for the people who will never meet him. It was soo nice to see him in the commons and him with his big smile give me a hug or come talk to me even if i paint all over me or if i looked like i was having a bad day. We will greatly miss Adam!

When you go back to your chapters, just think about sisterhood or brotherhood. It is important. it is really a bond for life! I have never seem soo many grown men weeplike i did this week. the bond we have is never broken, even in death. One thing Adam was known for was being kind to everyone nomatter how different you are. i look at my chapter a different way. forgive your enemies and be understanding like Adam was.

please have Adam's family,friends and brothers in your heart and say a prayer for them. Cherish every moment with your friends and fraternities you never know if it is the last time you will see them.

Sorry about yours, as well as everyone involved's loss. Sometimes it's things like that that make everyone realize how important all of this is, how tight we really are with the people in our respective orgs.

It is always so sad to learn of a Fellow Greek Losing their life!
