Hello everyone!! I am so proud of the Iota beta chapter!! We picked up eight girls during formal recruitment, and had their initiation this past weekend!! and now we are getting ready to do a second initiation in a few weeks!! we have a second pledge class this semester! Our girls have done an awesome job of COB-ING quality women for our chapter. at the moment we have five more women to initiate, and are having a COB tonight, with five potential members attending!! I just had to give my chapter sisters a great big CONGRATULATIONS!! and brag, just a little, to all of our sisters. I want to hear how all of you are doing with COB's and recruitment!! i need ideas to keep girls interested in alpha phi until informal recruitment in the fall!! thanks in advance!!

As far as tricks to keep girls interested in the fall, I would suggest a couple of things:
1. have a BBQ or some fun event at the end of the semester. During the BBq get their summer contact info and assigna sister to be their unofficial "phi friend" during the summer. If they live close to each other all the better. Have her email call and hopefully even get together over the summer.
2. send out treats during finals or have a study break event at you house, or someone's apartment.
Don't be pushy but just stay in contact.
You know the old saying make a friend then make a sister!
Congratulations to the ladies of Iota Beta! I've heard you're a great group of women, and, based on all the awesome people I've met here on GC, it's more than true!
