Thumbs down Why does it seem like undergrads look down on alumni chapters?

I have been interested in joining Kappa Alpha Psi ever since I was small, around 7 years old, but unfortunately when I went to college, the chapter there was off the yard. Therefore, in order for me to join, I have to go the alumni way. One thing in particular that I have noticed is how undergrads tend to look down on alumni chapters sometimes because maybe they don't think they pledged as hard, or maybe it's some other reason. Anyway, the reason behind this forum is just to get some opinions from both undergrads and alumni chapters on why in some cases it is tension between the two levels because this is an organization I am really interested in. Thanks.
