Did You Get This Email?
I recently received this email from Greeks Give.com and was wondering if anyone else got it and is it legit or not?
Is your Fraternity/Sorority/Group/Organization planning a large scale philanthropy project in the next few months, but you're having trouble coming
up with a project?
Does your Fraternity/Sorority community have a Greek Week program with t-shirts and you're looking for a design everyone will like?
The answers to your questions rest with www.greeksgive.com. Read on:
Since the September 11, 2001 tragedy, many of us Fraternity and Sorority members have been asking "How can I really help and make a difference?" There is now an answer to this question and it comes in the form of greeksgive.com. Through the simple act of buying a t-shirt you can make a difference in the lives of those directly affected by the tragedy. With every t-shirt purchased, a $5 donation is made to the Families for Freedom Foundation that is co-chaired by former President Bill Clinton and Senator Bob Dole. The goal of the project is to make a $50,000 contribution to the fund. Buy a t-shirt for yourself and make a difference. Organize a chapter/organization wide effort to buy the shirts and make a difference.
Have this be the next t-shirt your chapter orders and make a difference in the process.
To place an order, simply log-on to www.greeksgive.com and place your order on-line. Shirts will be sent directly to you and a donation made to the Families for Freedom
fund.www.greeksgive.com is endorsed by The North-American Interfraternity Conference, National Panhellenic Conference, National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, Fraternity Executives Association, and the Southeast Interfraternity Conference.

Never heard of it, but it seems like a respectable idea. Keep us posted on whether or not it's legit.

I received that email...actually two of them. I got one at my like junk mail account and one through my school email. It's weird cause I never give out my school email for random things like that.

no, I haven't gotten this email but I checked out the site-- it looks like something just "put together"-- probably looking to make a few $$$. So sad when people exploit a tragedy.

I didn't get the email, but it sounds like a scam to me. You're probably better off just giving directly to the Red Cross.

Does anyone else think it's highly improbably that Clinton and Dole would get together on ANYTHING?

Dole and Clinton had a press conference together a few months ago about a World Trade Center charity that involved both of them. I don't think it had anything to do with this e-mail. I'd keep my money as far as this e-mail charity goes. It's better to be safe than sorry!
