Battle of the Bands!

I am attempting to put a Battle of the Bands together at my school that my sorority will sponser! We have no problem getting enough local bands to come play or getting a radio station to come. However, its the other stuff that I know NOTHING about! We have never put on any big event, so if anyone has any suggestions or things that I need to know, please help me out!!

My best suggestion would be to talk to whoever in your student body government is in charge of programming/events/that sort of thing. These people generally have lots of experience in setting up large events and may even be able to give you tips on how to get supplementary funding! Good luck!
