Big Little selection

I go to a school out west and we are about to vote for who we want as our bigs. I know who I want as my big and I know she wants me because we talk about it quite a bit. So if she chooses me as one and I choose her as one, will I get her no matter what? What happens if another freshman puts her first or if another sophomore puts me first?

I asked one and she said yes unless there are a lot of factors that play into it which i didn't understand and she just said don't worry about it

Then that is your answer. There is no way for us to know anything about how this works in your chapter. So don't worry.
