Wanna see the new me?
Hi y'all! Well, just this past weekend I did something drastic...I cut and colored my hair (and for anyone who knows me...this is very huge...I've had past-shoulder length hair since gr. 7!!!!)
Anyway, if you wanna see, here's the old look Vera
and the new look Vera!
The pics are really bad color-wise (taken with a Polaroid Joycam) but you get the general idea!
Unfortunately I haven't quite mastered straightening my hair (it's naturally VERY curly) so my hair is now curly, but I'm getting a friend to come help me re-create the straight look the salon gave me!!!
Whaddya think?!

Wow Vera! I love it! you look great, very sophisticated, yet--playful and young too!
My hair is curly too, I've only recently mastered getting it salon straight.
1. Wash it only every other day.
2. Wash it and straighten it at night so you can sleep on it to flatten it.
3. if you don't have, invest in a WIDE barrell curling iron--use this to straighten your hair like an iron, works so much better than straightening irons.
4. REDKEN GLASS REDKEN GLASS REDKEN GLASS! lol

Two thumbs up!
Vera,
Your hair looks GREAT! Wow!
I have curly hair, also, so I know what a pain it is to straighten it. I'm going to have to check out the Redken Glass that Amy suggested!

Wow wow wow! Drastic change, and it looks great. I cut all my hair off last year, and I looked terrible... Some people just have all the luck!

Hi Vera!
You look great! It's Sherry (aka Shmoopie) from FrugalBrides. I came across this in one of your posts and had to join up. This site is great! Thanks!

great advice amy(thats exactly the same thing i do..) EXCEPT
i swear by and could not live without my flat iron..i bought mine at sally's beauty supply..its calleed 'hot & gold" and it gets really super hot and straightens hair really well and makes it perfectly flat..i've tried the curling iron to straighten strategy, and never had as good of results as i do w/a flat iron..advice on them tho, buy one from a beauty supply store(not like walmart or something) because you can get professional quality ones..and don;t get one that has a comb attatchedd..they don't work as well..

Hi y'all! Thanks for the compliments! I'm definately gonna try Amy's advice...but I do have to go with xok85xo and try the flat iron! That's what they used at the salon...all I have to do now is get used to styling with it!
I took a pic of me with curly hair if y'all wanna see JUST how curly it can get: The curly look
Sherry...hi darlin! Hee hee....I'm getting all kinds of FB's onto this site! There's another girl from FB on here too.....she goes by ariesrising on FB and brooklineu here on greekchat!
