Thumbs down Dirty Rush Book being made into a movie

This I won't be wasting time or money to see.

Brownstone ProductionsElizabeth Banks & Max Handelman will produce what is being called Mean Girls in a sorority house. Banks & Handelman produced Pitch Perfect.

FYI, Producer Elizabeth Banks is a Tri Delta alumna and her husband, Max Handelman, is an AEPi alum (U of Pennsylvania).

Haven't read the book, so can't say how accurate/inaccurate it is.
I didn't take Animal House was an actual depiction of Greek Life, but a satire.

Oh, just saw something on TMZ about the girl who wrote the Forward to the book. (You can look it up if you're curious.) May have to retract my earlier statement. :- /

You can read the first three chapters on TSM. It's ALL typical stereotype. I think that, as NPC members, we can probably take it with a grain of salt and know it's satire and find some humor in it, BUT that being said, it continues the same stereotypes that everyone already thinks about sororities.

Animal House is definitely not satire. It's based on the writers' experiences (Dartmouth and other schools in the early 60s—a different place and time) with healthy doses of farce and lampooning, but there's nothing satirical about it.

Just like the Revenge of The Nerds??? LOL!

Does depict just start ups and the Snobs on Campus.

Thought it was funny as had been there way back in 1965!

Some satire can be good, some realization can not be so much!!
