telemarketing frustrations

I promise this is totally related to Phi Mu.

I'm alum (and have been), so it's been a long time since this last happened. So, today, I get this phone call about the fraternity credit cards. The guy making the call says he's been authorized by "Phi Moo...."
I say ok. "it's Phi Mu" He says "Oh, it's [correct pronunciation]?" yes. "I'm sorry. I've been authroized my Phi Moo..."
I can understand that not everyone knows this, and it probably seems stupid to others, but this is something that has always hit a nerve with me.

Am I the only person who gets irritated when people replace Mu with moo?

I'm not a Phi Mu, but I get calls about "Alpha Ziy Delta" or "Alpha Chi Delta." Can't telemarketers at least spend five minutes to traing their staff to say it right?

Fuzzie~

That is exactly my point! I would have thought they could have learned how to pronounce the name before making the call, but I guess I was wrong. It's one thing to be wrong and correct the mistake, but if they can't correct themselves, I lose all interest.
