University of Kentucky Fall 2014
Didn't see a thread on this, I've been MIA on GreekChat since I usually only poke around during fall and winter recruitment season, but UK started yesterday! I know one PNM going through and still know a few actives, I'll see if I can get any stats. UK has a great greek system, although I'd say sorority recruitment isn't particularly competitive compared to other SEC schools. I've never ever heard of a PNM who ended up bid-less so long as she maximized her options.

Yea!! A UK thread!!!
I have 3 rec girls in recruitment this year. 2 from my home town and one from out of state. The one girl is a chapter legacy, so hoping no tears from mom or daughter.
Last I heard there are 1356 PNMs registered.

Ceres. In addition to all the NPCs at UK, the shirts include the associate members as well.

I've heard from the moms of 2 of my rec girls. Both had invitations to their top 3 choices for pref today. One is a legacy and preffed her mom's chapter. The other is a legacy but mom did not share details. I'm hoping they get their heart's desire tomorrow.

I've finally heard from 2 of my rec girls moms.
One pledged Delta Gamma!!! A chapter legacy. I love a DG ending, and this is my first rec girl to pledge my chapter at UK.
The other pledged Kappa Kappa Gamma, her favorite from day 1!
I heard quota is 90, and Juniors are extra that don't apply to quota.
DG pledged 91!!

I thought it was KD--I've known some KD chapters who used them, I suppose because they're green.

I've never seen frogs for KD. Usually a nautilus or a teddy bear. Teddy Bear came into use long after I was a collegiate member.

I think that one place I saw them was MS State's KDs back in the day. Then some chapters also had katydids but that got dropped kind of fast.

KD at Kentucky uses the ladybug and teddy bear. Ceres, the agricultural sorority, has a frog mascot. Phi Sigma Rho, the engineering sorority, uses a penguin. I think both are associate members of Panhellenic there.
