What book are you reading right now?
(Apologies if there's already a thread like this; "search" isn't working for me this morning.)
I just finished Complications: A Surgeon's Notes on an Imperfect Science by Atul Gawande. It was pretty good, but my favorite parts were the stories about patients (names changed, of course) and their cases. I could've done with more of that.
Right now I'm reading Train Go Sorry: Inside a Deaf World by Leah Hager Cohen. Deaf culture is fascinating to me, but the book isn't written as well as it might be. Something about Cohen's "voice" just makes it hard for me to really lose myself in the book. She's not as fluid as she could be.
Anybody want to share? Anybody have recommendations?

I just finished "The Blind Side" by Michael Lewis (also the author of "Moneyball"). It was pretty good, the first half much better than the second half.
I'm about to start "The Supreme Court" by the late Chief Justice Rehnquist. I've read pretty much all of the other well-known books on the Court ("The Brethren," "Supreme Conflict," and "The Nine," among others), and I've heard this is another must-read on the history of the Court. Once I have some free time in my school reading (Ha!) I'll start in on that.

Not yet - although, since I eventually want an appellate practice, it's been suggested that I read it ASAP. I'm probably going to try to read it this summer, when I have a lighter school schedule and can really get into it.
Have you read it? Any thoughts?

I'm currently re-reading the fourth Twilight book since I'm "bookless" (which is odd seeing as how I work at a library lol). I really, really want to read Grisham's new book though.

I didn't know he had a new one coming out! Is it another one centered around a lawyer?
His books are so reassuring. They're fast reads and satisfying. Like homemade mac & cheese for your head.

Yeah it's called The Associate, it sounds really good! But then which one of his books isn't? lol. I LOVE Grisham! Also, funny that you mention mac and cheese since that is what I'm eating now while reading lol. Although all I'm reading is ed psych, what fun...

I'm currently reading Grisham's "The Associate", Richard Dawkins "The Ancestor's Tale" and a random book about the reign of King James I that I found at the Strand bookstore in NYC.

I've heard of the Strand! My parents used to live on 14th and Ave A. They reminisce about great restaurants and places like the store that ONLY sold mystery books, on 55 or 56 between 6th and Broadway.

"Museum of the Missing"- it's about art theft, although it is out of print because they're updating it, new edition out in may.

I'm on Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer. It's the 3rd book in the Twilight series. It's taking me a little longer to read because I've been lazy but always keeps you wanting more.

I'm in the process of reading two books:
Wicked (which for some reason i'm having a hard time following, maybe have to start it all over again)
and Shopaholic & Baby. I love the Confessions of a Shopaholic books.
